Is BTC acceptable?

Is BTC acceptable?

Is a BTC stretch acceptable for the first month or two instead of Manual stretches in the Newbie Routine? I like doing these more, and the Manual Tension Stretches seem to hurt me… Perhaps I’m doing them wrong, but they leave soreness afterwards whereas the BTC stretches don’t, and they seem to work fine.

Anyone else have an opinion? Greatly appreciated, thanks.

I don’t think the two are interchangeable. But if BTC stretches are working for you, there’s no rule that says you have to do Manual Tension Stretches.

There’s nothing wrong with a little soreness after stretching, though, especially in the early days. I had some tenderness at the base during the Newbie Routine.


For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

BTC or “fowfers” are said to improve flaccid hang. The guy who made them popular (or one of the guys) fowfer himself said that they didn’t give him any erect gains, only flaccid. So I guess it depends on what your priorities are.

Hmm.. Thanks for the input guys. I think I’m gonna take the information and do a little bit of both. Probably lessen my intensity for the Manual Stretches… and continue doing the BTC stretches.

BTC is just a angle used when doing PE exercises. The fowfer a very light stretch exercise using this angle. There’s people who use hangers to stretch BTC too for example. Perhaps fowfers is best for flaccid gains due to it’s light force but stretching/jelqing/hanging BTC is not only for flaccid gains, it’s for erect gains too.

Sweet! That gives me a good idea of how I’m gonna modify my routine. The Manual stretches just hurt me for some reason… So I’m gonna wait for a good while before I start those up again. BTC is good for me because I can do it whenever. Just sitting on the couch when a bunch of people are around me, it’s fine. haha, I just go to the bathroom, hold it, and sit down :P
