I’ve seen a few threads about “maintenance routines” although never actually read them, thus I would like to ask once and for all: Are these gains not permanent? Do we need to continue jelqing and stretching after we have achieved our goals?

This subject has been discussed to exhaustion over the years.

There are people who have maintained their sizes over the years without training anymore.

Others need to keep training to keep because if they stop they lose.

The truth is that PE is the same as weight training. If you stop, you lose your muscles.

Current: NOV/21 BPEL18,3(7,2)x13,5(5,3)

Some gains are EQ, some permanent. Use search to understand. It’s like taking 2 steps forward and 1 back.

Example: you do PE for 2 years and gain 25% total volume, then stop PE practice, and you’ll lose 5% volume.


Start (8/30/21): 6.5"BPEL X 5.25" MSEG

More often than not, maintenence is required. “Maintenence” is definitely up for interpretation though.

My girth gains were hard to come by but are permanent as far as I can tell. After a few hanging campaigns where I believe I went about it the wrong way I lost 3/8 length afterwords. I have a permanent .75 length, 1.6 base girth and just over .5 ms girth gain, so far.

Whether you’ve done PE or not, the human penis naturally shirks as we age.

So unequivocally, yes; gains will be lost without maintenance. How much one loses is much more variable…

The reality is that PR is really a lifestyle. In order for it to work in the first place, it has to become part of your routine. I do a little manual stretching and jelquing every time I pee, without even thinking about it. It’s just habit.
