Recently discovered this website and have decided to start my PE journey. I am still a little skeptical about the whole thing but willing to try it out. I am currently happy with my length and I don’t want to spend money on equipment which leaves me with kegels and jelqing. My question has to do with jelqing technique; I have read that to optimize girth gains you want to jelq with a higher erection 75-85%? And also that jelqing upwards is better for girth compared to downwards? Do these things sound right or make a difference in your experience? Thanks to everyone who gives input!

Welcome to Thunders. Yes jelqing with higher erection levels theoretically should better support girth gains. I’m not sure about the angle, so maybe others can comment to that end.

Most importantly is that chances of injury increase as one jelqs at higher erection levels, this is due to increased pressure. So be sensitive to your tolerance level and listen closely to your penis. 80% is probably a good threshold, beyond that the upward motion of the jelq could induce too much pressure.

Adding heat to your routine will be of benefit.

Other than your time, jelqing is free, so jump in and be consistent, be smart and in time you find out if this is right for you or not.

For most, PE is a grind, which takes persistence and time, otherwise every man would have a 10” cock.

Start off with the newbie routine to condition your dick. I’m doing erect jelqs after 4 or so months of the newbie routine. Erect jelqs are intense and the pump is crazy. Make sure to watch for the positive indicators. After a session my EQ is crazy I could put a hole through my mattress lol

I do not recommend erect Jelqing. The reward is not worth the risk.

Longer, thicker, tighter, deeper

There is a system inside the penis that is like a “locking mechanism.” Once high erection level is achieved, it wants to do it’s job and locks up solid. It’s designed that way. PE is a complete waste of time when operating in this mode. Firstly you are likely to do yourself some damage, and secondly there is a chance you will increase resistance to growth as the penis instead rebuilds itself to further withstand trauma. Best time for PE is when the penis is on the way up, or pref. after sustained erection and erection is starting to lessen. I favour the second option as it is a far longer phase in terms of time available.

Just to clarify, the OP didn’t ask about erect jelq. He is asking if jelqing at 80% erection level supports girth more over jelqing at say 60% erection level.
