Mechanics of ADS?

First thread, so apologies for any mistakes.

I recently purchased the Phallosan Forte, as it’s the only PE device that really suits me; since this, I’ve been wondering as to how it works.
Am I right in thinking that ADS works in a similar way to stretch piercings (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stretching_(body_piercing))? Because the penis is just soft tissue (I think) wouldn’t it be true that it can be stretched in the same way the earlobe or any other soft tissue can?
I know all this isn’t solid science, but I’m just curious about the implications this would allow for if perhaps true.
