Men warned dangerous ‘jelqing’ trend that claims to make their penis longer could leave them IMPOTENT | The Sun

This article has an actual doctor explaining how jelqing can cause impotency, can anyone share some insight or give a rebuttal to these?

"Dr Jamin Brahmbhatt, a urologist at Orlando Health, told Daily Mail. Com that jelqing is a "complete waste of time".

"It can be very painful, and sometimes the scarring can take three to six months or even a year to build up for you to even notice the change.

"So you may think you haven’t seen any negative side effects, but it may just take some time."

Dr Brahmbhatt said that he’d previously had to talk a patient out of hanging heavy balls on his penis to lengthen it."

I wonder how many jelqs I’ve performed over the years. I’ve never had a problem. I’m sure as with anything else, there is some risk if you overdo it. But I’ve never had any trouble from it.

First of all, he has no idea what he is talking about, the jelq is just one type of exercise among many that we practice, the empirical evidence we have reaches almost two decades, the positive results are thousands, there are risks as in everything, I was an athlete for more than 30 years: fracture of two fingers of the foot, rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament in the knee, rupture of the medial ligament in the same knee, chronic tendinitis in the right ankle, bursitis in the same ankle, pubalgia, rupture of a ligament in the left shoulder, chronic pain in the lower back, etc …

The forum is transparent like no other, the posts of injuries are not deleted, in fact we leave them to serve as an experience for other members.

Dr. Brahmbhatt, do you like a woman’s big tits? a juicy and well-formed ass? Well, many women like big, healthy penises with rock erections, that’s what we do around here. :)

Though I find what you’re saying correct, wouldn’t you think the doctor knows more and is being quite clear on the matter?

No. This is one guy. Not a bunch of doctors, or a bunch of urologists, or a study on the penises of hundreds of cadavers of men who were known to practice the black art of “the Jelq”. It’s just some guy, talking out of his ass. The fact he is a doctor doesn’t mean much. There have been many doctors wrong about a great many things over the years.

If he could produce any proof of scar tissue in the penis, I would be interested in that. But he can’t, and in fact has not ever seen scar tissue in a penis.

I should say he has not seen scar tissue caused by jelqing. He may well have seen scar tissue from Peyronie’s. But from Jelqing? I say no.

YUP. Just how many decades did it take to finally dispel the notion that weight lifting makes people ‘muscle bound’ or causes all manner of bodily harm? Yet today the medical and health community can’t sing its benefits and praises loud enough.

There is a concrete fact that we can not go unnoticed, we have had doctors who practice PE within this forum as well as other important members with professions within the medical area or with studies in the same field, these are the ones who really know from their own experience over the years, these experiences have a qualitative value far superior to the doctor you mention, nothing surpasses the experience.

I mean that PE is not something that is of interest to normal doctors, they cure diseases and try to prevent risks, that’s why there is a routine for newbies. As an analogy I could say that it is not the same to go to the gym for the first time and to work like someone who has years of discipline, this leads to injuries, so the process is slow.

There is a very dangerous market to make money in this field, the internet is full of fallacies and false promises to get money from the unwary, as you can see here there is no propaganda, only donations to pay the server, this is what captivated me in this place, serious people sharing their real experiences and results in a friendly climate.

Nobody pays me for being moderator and administrator of the forum, I only do it to thank the people who created this page and many others who contribute their knowledge for free, I have not even donated, I prefer to pay with work for the continuity of the good spirit that prevails in this forum :)

Dangerous? So is getting out of bed.

So true. And I’d also add to always use common sense whether you’re lifting weights, jelging or whatever. Seems just about everything is more dangerous and potentially harmful when common sense isn’t applied.

Love the responses, thank you guys.

Journey for da pipe!

If you listen carefully to what he says, he is offering no proof or supporting evidence that jelqing causes scarring that builds up over time, it’s just his uninformed opinion. He is taking some facts about Peyronie’s disease and conflating it with his imagined side effect of jelqing (scarring) then drawing the mistaken conclusion that jelqing causes peyronies, which causes ED etc. He admits in the video he watched some videos about jelqing then said as a neurologist he thinks it’s dangerous. Doctors are susceptible to errors in logic too.

Very well said peavey

The thing is that PE is not a so called medical treatment.

What this really means is that your cock is in your own hands and if one does not put in the time and work, which many are not motivated to do, limited results occur.

So yeah, the medical fraternity can’t sell you anything and this is probably why PE is not on their radar.

Longer, thicker, tighter, deeper

I like the author’s assertion that jelqing is something engaged in by “incels”. Really? Only dudes who can’t get laid are jelqing? Good to know. That seems to be a really poorly written article, on a site that seems filled with poorly written/researched articles. Maybe find yourself a better source of information than “the Sun”?
