So what exactly does the PI good morning wood mean? Why does it occur sometimes and sometimes not? Should it occur everytime when you are doing PE right? Because that would be a very bad sign for me! :)
It’s relational to what your body did before PE. If before PE you always had wood when you woke up (even after beating off late at night) and now you don’t, then it is a bad PI. How bad depends on the difference from before PI and now. Usually it’s not a big deal because most of us get some pseudo-bad PI’s when our unit is fatigued. What is important is that you take note of your bad PI’s and use that information to change your routine as needed. For instance, if doing a little less jelqs gets your morning wood back, then it would probably be worth it. Not saying that’s what you should do, but you have to pay attention to your body and what it’s telling you.
If you’ve been PE’ing for 3 months, then about now is when you should start refining your routine. My opinion is that the two big factors in changing it should be gains and PI’s. Of course, if you’re still getting gains and in your mind your PI’s are good, then as my father always said, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
