My silly measuring mistake (may apply to you)

Just a quick thing that I’ve realized today that i constantly try to remind myself off.
The ruler i use, doesn’t start with 1cm , it actually has a 1 cm gap and than the count begins (1,2,3…), so this whole time I’ve actually gained under a cm but never realised :)

Hope this inspires others to check more carefully.

I think it does not have any effect on your actual gain, since that extra 1 cm is included in both your previous and current lengths. This means that extra 1 cm actually cancels out when you deduct two lengths.

I know what your saying, but in this case I’ve measured before at 18cm including the gap, however for the last few months I’ve totally forgot about it. So my measurements up to today have been without including the gap, and I’ve measured just below 18cm, hence it’s more like 18.7 cm.

Yes, keep alert, you can’t distract a moment wiht those fu****g rulers. :)

Same thing with my wooden ruler.

I went to the art hardware store and bought a 8 inch ruler with no gap. It serves to measure extremely well and also serves as a nice comparator.

Speaking of measuring…Where do you all measure from, the side the front? is measuring from your thigh on the side the same as BP?

I measure from the side as per the diagrams that I saw on here somewhere.

Uh oh! I think you’re supposed to measure from the top, bone pressed, if you’d like to compare yourself to others on the forum. but it doesn’t really matter as long as you’re consistent.
