New on here. A few questions and warnings for newbies.

Hello folks.
I am new to this forum but not new to PE all together. I have done some PE on and off for about a year. My problem is I am not consistent. But I plan to be this time. I often start jelqing for a few weeks and then miss workouts and then give up. I have done stretching for ages but don’t seem to get any gains. I wonder if this is something to do with my penis curves upwards quite a bit? Not sure. Or do I need Jelqs as well for length?

What I must say is I think I have damaged the skin on my penis or the underlying tissue. When soft I can see very dark purple like bruising which is quite bad esp under artificial light.
I think this is because I have stretched without warming up and put too much pressure on my penis. The pigmentation problem is below the head where I grip. I have not stretched for about 2 months but the problem has not gone away. I don’t know if it will or not.
Basically I am telling people this to make sure you warm up and don’t grip too hard whilst stretching.
I figure I might as well start a routine again as I have nothing to lose really. I am definitely going to jelq though as my length does not seemed to have improved.

Star: I believe the following quotes should answer your questions regarding gains:

You’re not going to gain if you’re not religious about your PE workout. Heck, even if you do gain, you won’t keep the gains if you don’t keep following a maintenance routine (at the very least).

There have been many threads on discoloration, including hobby’s thread on “Shedding the snake”. Try a search on the topic: your discoloration might not have to be permanent.

Bruising takes a long time to go away, I had a bad case and it took over 6 months of no hanging which was my cause for it to go away.

I agree with Dino. I had a couple of minor cases that took weeks to recover. The best thing I can recommend is some type of skin restorative (or possibly even anti-acne cream), great nutrition and plenty of water. Ample vitamin C never hurts in tissue regeneration.

A nice way to build up consistency and motivations is to keep setting small goes like “0.1-0.2 in length a month”,”reduce my fatpad x amount over this period” or even taking part in the once monthly challenges. Once you are consistent you will see you gains start rising.

Stretching alone might not give you anything. Try mixing it up with jelqing and see where that takes you.

This is an iffy recommendation in my estimation.

Deep bruising won’t be helped that much with any creme, but if you do need to reach for something, the anti-acne creams are unlikely to be satisfactory. The benzoyl peroxide preparations will be very drying and irritating to the skin, and the salicylic acid based treatments will probably not do all that much. Nor is vitamin C particularly helpful to treat bruising (not that I’ve ever seen, anyway).

If you have a light bruise, vitamin K, which can be found in some creams used to treat dark circles under the eyes, may help a bit. For a deep tissue bruise Arnica gel is more likely to help than anything; but time is really your best ally.

Take a break. If you have a deep bruise you obviously need it. And when you do finally resume, be more judicious with your use of force. I think in your case, Star, you’ll find less is more.

Thanks guys for the answers. I think my skin is slow to heal. I had a sort of white head spot on my penis ages ago and I squeezed it and it bled . It went sort of bruised and I still have a mark there now but it is slowly fading.

I intend to come on here regularly to keep me motivated. Cheers.

Welcome aboard Star. You have been given some excellent answers and thoughts! Happy gaining.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

Mr. Happy, This is true; My thoughts were based on anecdotal comparisons, which naturally could be incorrectly observed. I’d like to add get plenty of good fats (fish oil, omega 3s, olive oil, etc…probably egg yolk too). I have observed that helping general recovery as well as helping with skin condition as opposed to when I am not conciously intaking more good fat.

Apparently all I have really said is “eat healthy” reading back. Can’t hurt. :)

Sure can’t, Uber.

It’s all connected.

Making sure one is properly hydrated will certainly have a positive effect on skin issues as well, come to think of it.

I should have been clear that I just had a problem with the acne cream idea.

It’s not bad to bat the ideas around, though. :leftie:
