Newbie - Going completely soft whilst jelqing

Hey guys, I’ve been browsing different PE forums for a while and came across this one around a month ago. I’ve tried using the search function but cannot find any posts relating to this?

I decided to start my PE journey last week but I’ve been experiencing a slight issue. I’m starting off with the newbie routine which is the 5 minutes hot wrap, 5 minutes stretches and 5 minutes jelqing etc. When it comes to the jelqing, I get my penis between 70-80% erection level and continue the jelqing routine but after a minute or so, I start to lose my erection and it becomes more and more soft. Obviously this then means I have to stop jelqing to get my penis back up to the 80% erection level again which interrupts the whole process and if I keep having to do this, I’m afraid what I’m doing won’t be working at all and it’ll be a waste of time?

I’m beginning to think that I’m not putting enough pressure into the jelqing to keep my penis erect?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Or you could be putting to much pressure on the penis. Make sure your only hitting the sides of the shaft not the top and don’t over think it, it doesn’t need to be 80% at all times. In my opinion anything above about 30% is going to be effective as you are getting a rolling pressure through jelqing.

Hey man. I faced this issue as well and started using one hand jelq and this helped me. I split my jelq time and change hands to not cause any curve.

So instead of doing the OK grip at the bottom of your penis, you’ve just been using the one hand OK grip going upwards?

Well the OK grip is still at the bottom of penis and moving upwards while jelqing. Its just that using one hand and “letting go” of the blood to grip it again has caused my erections during jelq to be consistently 80-90%

Like pudd1ng said, anything 30% or more should be fine, and the closer to 100% you get, the easier it is to cause an injury.

Don’t worry about it, especially since you’re a beginner. I know that nobody starting out wants to hear that this is a marathon, not a sprint, but the only thing that increases if you try to rush progress, is your chance of injuring yourself, which totally defeats the purpose.

I’ve said this before, but your first 6 months to a year of PE, should be basically you getting to know your penis and how it responds to all the various forms of stress you put on it. That is fundamental because everyone’s physiology is different, and something that works for someone else, or even the same thing, but performed slightly differently, won’t work for you necessarily, and may cause injury.

Slow it down and pay attention to how things feel, both during and after the exercises. It’s always better to err on the side of caution and under-training, rather than getting injured, which prevents you from both doing PE, and enjoying your penis, which is after all why we should be doing this…

Hey Daniel, I don’t think you’re wasting your time. It definitely gets easier over time and I think it’s definitely worth it to put the time in.

I’m embarrassed to admit it has taken me 3 years to learn how to do PE right for me. It would have been a lot sooner had I not overtrained so much. I second what richardfitswell said about taking your time and it being better to undertrain while you learn how your body reacts. It’s definitely the smartest approach to PE.

It can be difficult to get started in regards to the technique side of things. I also had trouble maintaining the proper bloodflow level when I was learning how to jelq.

One thing that helped me was after stretching, get an erection and let it begin to subside before you jelq. It seems the blood will linger around a little longer if the engorgement comes from an erection rather than the “forced” engorgement from outside forces. I think because all of the activity in your whole pelvic region.

A certain level of arousal in general can be helpful. In the early days this can be a double edged sword. Some people have trouble NOT getting an erection and jelqing erect has a much higher chance of an injury.

A kegel in between your jelq strokes can help to keep enough blood for proper engorgement if you’re losing too much in between strokes. If you do try that keep in mind, kegels can be fatiguing themselves if you’re not used to doing them a lot.

Are you dry jelqing or wet jelqing?
