Newbie has PE Anxiety

Hello, all.

I have been lurking here for the last few months, trying to absorb all that I can — learning about anatomy, LOT theory, checking out all the routines, etc.
I wanted to start PE, but I was concerned about injury. I like my penis, it has been a good companion, providing me many hours of entertainment. I didn’t want to hurt it or traumatize it by being too rough or doing something wrong.

I finally feel like I have enough knowledge and I’m ready to start the newbie routine. I will have to go stealth for a while, so I will probably split the workout in two parts.

Now here is the anxiety part.

When I actually sit down to start the routine, I am having trouble getting an erection. All the sudden I feel like there is a lot of pressure.

Is this common? Any tips on relaxing?

What P.E exercise(for a beginner) are you doing that requires an erection?

Jelqing, in that I need to get an erection and then let it subside to 70%. Right? THANKS in advance.

Maybe my problem is I have overloaded myself w info.

About 60% erect is a good jelqing level. Anything from 30% to 80% will yield useful results.

You don’t have to start out doing PE ‘perfectly’; it’s more important that you just get on with it. It’s not an exact science. With practice, you will get naturally better until you can feel what is right for you. Everyone is different.

Start light, and you won’t get any damage. If you do it will be very minor and will heal fast. Up the intensity slowly and you will learn exactly what your penis can and cannot take; you will learn fast.

Continue gaining knowledge after you have begun the newbie routine properly. It will all make more sense then.

Anyways having a 50% erection level can work fine.
A little tip, whenever I jelq, I watched porn but on mute. Thus whenever I get a 100% erection, I just close my eyes wait a few seconds for it to subside and then carry on with jelqing. This works for me hope it does for you.

Firegoat, that is pretty much what I needed to hear. If I can’t get “in the mood” to jelq, at least I can do my warmup, stretching and kegels.

Another question — another thing that occurred to me is that maybe I could take advantage of night time erections. I have been erect kegeling in the middle of the night when an erection wakes me up.

It occurs to me that I could jelq too once it drops to 80% or so.

The only thing that would worry me is no warmup, but I am guessing if I am gentle it wouldn’t be terrible to do that.

Actually the whole purpose of the warm ups is to make the erectile tissues more supple and preventing accidents.

Anyways, whatever you fancy but bear in mind you won’t be making as good gains as you would if you had a warm up.

Hey guys, you can’t believe how much this helped.

I just finished my first routine. Newbie routine, rice sock warm up and warm down.

I don’t think it was perfect. I couldn’t do the 200 jelqs continuously, had to stop now and again to get my erection level up.

At some point though, I just relaxed and thought, HEY, THIS IS FUN!

One thing that seemed to help was to apply the lube BEFORE working up a 70% erection.

Well, DUH — don’t know why that didn’t occur to me before.

So we will mark down 12-05-07 as the day I started my PE journey.

The next challenge is to get a good starting pic. I know I would like to have that, but so far that has not been working. As so many have said, ruler, camera, penis don’t seem to mix very well.

However, I am not going to stress to much about it. If I don’t get one, I don’t get one.

Way to go sta-kool. I too have to stop to adjust the erection level.

The picture would be good, but a good starting measurement is a must. I assume you have one/some as you seem to be well read, but just a reminder.

Good tip, Chronostone. Strangely enough, I read Kevin12’s log this morning during my warm down, and was interested to see his routine. The smaller number of jelqs may indeed be better. I’ll see how my penis feels tomorrow.

I am also definitely keep sparkyx’s “Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth” handy.

I did get a good set of measurements. You can call me “Mr. Average” — no more, no less.

Once there is more of me, I’ll add ‘em to my signature. Keep your fingers crossed!
