Newbie Pump Question
So as newbie I can’t post in the pump forums. I had a question about pumping and tube sizes.
Can tube size effect the pumped length?
Let me try to describe whats going on. Before my PE journey I bought a cheaper pump that had a small battery operated pump. I used it in the past more for fun than any actual purpose. Recently I’ve decided to try pumping and invested in some more equipment. So with the basic pump it had a 7.5” x 2.25” tube. The new pump (LeLuv) has a 9”x2” tube with a hand pump and gauge.
With the Basic pump I am touching the end of the tube (my BPEL is 7.5”) and under vacuum my glans is somewhat mushed against the end of the tube. When I got the LeLuv setup I went with the 2” tube because I wanted to focus on length first. Just going by feeling when I used the leluv pump I estimated that the basic bump was pulling between 7 and 8hg. At 7hg on the LeLuv I was barely passing 7” on the ruler. I increased to 10hg and got to 7.5”.
So long story short, is the slightly thinner tube on the Leluv somehow restricting length? Should I stick with the current tube and work on length that way or should I get the next diameter size tube for the leluv and see if that improves the current lengthing? Any other tips?
Thanks!
