I would also say start out with newbie routine to learn the basics and then eventually turn to an ADS if that turns out to be the best solution for you. But that said I learned the hard way too. Started out with and ADS, wasted a lot of money on broken devices and pieces, but you might have to that route too. Turning to manual exercises was best for me, less time invasive, its free and the feeling of the workout is awesome too. But I probably would’ve done the ADS anyway even had I asked. I read DO newbie routine everywhere, its for a reason.. It was a learning curve, but unnecessary really. But really do what feels right and motivates you, eventually it is consistency and persistence which is the key to gains
