Newbie who needs some guidance

Hmm, I don’t know since I’ve never tried it, but 20 jelqs per day is too little even for a newbie.

Plenty of guys gain using the routine that happypill is trying. For some guys less is more.

And if you don’t gain on the linear routine you can simply jump right into a more aggressive newbie routine. Switching from 20 minutes/day of jelqing to the linear routine won’t work without a significant deconditioning brake. So it really does make sense to try the gentler method first.

It may seem like its too little, but he said that its just the right amount for a complete newbie. 20 to begin with, and then add more and more each week. I think it sounds pretty logical. Because you don’t want to overdo it in the beginning for the chance of injuries.

I hope that someone that has done this routine could give some feedback on it! Would be much appreciated.

Well, virtually every routine found on his site list “warm up” or “hot wrap” (or something similar) as the first step. I’m thinking it’s probably important.

I quit practicing PE (jelqs + manual stretches) in early March of 2008, so four years ago, due to injury. By that time I’d had pretty typical new guy gains of a solid 1/2 inch (~13mm) length increase. Today I still have those gains, and I haven’t done PE exercises during those four years. So yeah, it’s possible for gains to stick without further work, but most would say that a light routine for ‘maintenance’ is the best bet. As a middle-aged guy, I can say that continual PE exercises can do much good for EQ, which is worth much all by itself.

What do you guys usually do to warm up ?

I always warm up in a hot shower. Works for me just fine! :D

I usually start in the hot-tub, but then maintain the heat with a rice-sock.

Do you think that heating up a towel would be fine? I tried soaking a towel in hot water, but it got cold quite quick.

When I tried heating up the towel, I took it and just held it over a floor lamp that gets really really warm on the highest level. The towel gets really warm and stuff, so I guess that works just fine, ye?

Anyone else who has any tips for warming up ?

Clgp7 - I just looked at your PE-data. That’s some good gains in just 7 months man! What technique did you use ?

Do you have access to a microwave? If so, the rice-sock would be a good solution. Some guys use a heating pad, (get them at the pharmacy or discount store in the home-remedies aisle), Some guys actually dip their penis in a cup of warm/hot water. (I don’t really care for this method because of the mess, but some guys love it.) or maybe an Infrared lamp. Heck, you’re from Sweden, don’t you have access to the sauna? :)
