OK, so I have these golf weights.

I have four red golf weights. I have two of the attached to my shaft right now ( I can fit all four, but I didn’t want to hurt myself the first time). Here’s my question. Am I still getting a good stretch if I don’t feel much hanging pressure from the weights? I mean, I can feel them stretching “slightly,” but is that enough, or should I feel more of a stretch?

I started with 2 and worked up to 4 and then never bought any more. After awhile I’ll feel a pretty good stretch. I never wear a wrap so I get a bit of extra skin stretching.

So, when you started with 4 did you feel a good stretch, or was it just a “so-so” stretch?

Well it was a pretty good stretch but a lot of my soreness was due to skin stretching. If I remember correctly the weights are either used for long periods of time or between hanging sets. How long do you wear them for?

Oh and I’m using Monty’s PE weights, and they weigh a little more than golf weights do. Still not that much weight.

I have them on for the first time tonight. I’ve been wearing them for about 2 hours. I just don’t feel that much going on, and I’m wondering if I should add another one, or just stick with the 2 for a while. I am very comfortable with 2- I could probably wear them all day. I’m not sure what brand mine are, but they’re the red ones from Dicks Sporting goods.

Yeah try wearing them all day if you can, and add more if you really aren’t getting anything.

Also make sure your glans doesn’t get too cold or not too much discoloration either, those are negative signs.

How long have you been PEing? Have you tried using them in the way outlined in the thread link below?

2006 Start: 6.25" BPEL and 5" EG - 2012 7.625" BPEL / 4.875" EG / 8.063" BPFSL. (All manual routine)

It seems that the point of the weights is pretty much like ADS. When I’m consistent and wear mine 6 to 8 hours a day I have better results. Like the rest of PE, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

The don’t really weigh that much, but if I had to guess, I’d say about 200g each.

3 of my PE weights weigh roughly 2 pounds.

So about a half a pound or so.

I’d say that you should not underestimate what a relatively light load can do for you over time.

It’s probably good that you can’t ‘feel’ anything all that significant; for an ADS your not supposed to be using much force. Just enough.

I’m with RandomGiant. You want to wear them for an extended amount of time, in addition to the Newbie Routine or whatever else you may be doing.

The golf weights you’d get at Wal-Mart are about 7 ounces. I wear 5, so that’s just a tic over 2 lb. In addition to the constant, even weight, there’s the constant stretching even when you’re sitting and they’re not “pulling” downward. I believe in ‘em.

Thanks for all your help and advice. I guess it is an all-day thing, and the amount of stretch isn’t as important as the amount of time. I wore 2 weights to work today, and I’m still going strong! Kingdingaling I’ve been PEing for about two years, give or take. I’m going to try the routine in your post. I read it a few days ago, but I haven’t had the time to concentrate on trying it.
