Well, my friend, in my opinion both warm-ups and warm-downs are extremely important! The heat helps limber up the tissues before you stretch and jelq, and the heat afterwards helps in the healing process. When you stretch and jelq, you are basically breaking-down the tissue so they can regenerate. The warm-downs help in that regeneration and the healing of the tissues.
If you don’t have a microwave, then you will not be able to use a rice sox.
A rice sox is just that, a white cotton sox filled with rice which you warm in a microwave oven.
Take one of your old cotton sox (not one with holes in it) :) , fill it with raw rice but not Uncle Ben’s or any of the par-boiled, partially cooked rice. Tie a knot in the end (top) of the sox and you have a “rice sox.” Don\’t fill the sox too full, maybe about 1/2 full or less so that the rice will spread out and lay flat with a thickness of about 1/2” or less. Lay the rice sox flat in the microwave and heat on high for about 30 seconds. Turn over and heat it again for about 30 seconds. Watch it carefully! Such short periods of heating will be no problem, but watch it carefully since you don’t want it to get so hot that it will catch fire. By the way, you can use this rice sox over, and over, and over again. I have been using the same one now for about 3 months.
I then take the warm rice sox out and roll it in a cotton hand towel (mine are 14” x 28” hand towels) and let it sit for about a minute or two to warm the towel. Un-roll it a bit. I find that lying down on the sofa or the bed it best to do the warm-ups and warm-downs. Wrap the towel/rice sox around your dick and warm it for about 5 to 10 minutes. I just watch TV to pass the time. If it cools off, then just unwrap the towel a bit until you get a new warm spot again and continue.
NOTE:
1) I use the towel around the rice sox just to keep from getting any possible burns. Sometimes when just using the rice sox alone, it can get a bit too hot for the sensitive skin of the penis. It also helps keep the rice sox warm for a longer time.
2) In the warm-downs, since the sox is not filled too full, you can wrap the towel wrapped rice sox around your dick, and do some “massaging” of your dick through it. This is especially useful to keep from being sore afterwards and certainly must be good for the health of your dick.
There is another way that I warm-up and warm-down. I bought a Playtex Insulated Sipping Baby Bottle in the drugstore for about $2.99 and use it with the screw off sipping top removed. Since it is insulated (like a thermos bottle), it will keep the liquid that you put in it cold or warm for upwards of 45 minutes to an hour. I fill it with warm water and then stick my dick inside, tip it up hard against the pubic bone and hold it there for about 5 to 10 minutes to warm things up. Have a towel nearby just in case you leak some water every once in a while. It is a wonderful feeling and does a really good job of warming-up and warming-down. When not in use you just put the sipping top back on and it is then difficult to spill anything.
Regarding measuring, you can get a wooden or plastic school ruler (for measuring LENGTH only) in any drugstore for about 79 cents. You can also get a cloth or soft plastic MEASURING TAPE for measuring GIRTH, at any drugstore or department store (in the areal where they have thread, needles, etc) for about $1.00. Not expensive items at all.
nataki, it really is a good thing to enter you measurements (both erect and flaccid) so that you can keep a record of you progress and gains. So, try to get the ruler and tape as soon as possible and start keeping records. As far as pics, I am way to bashful to do that myself, but who knows, someday I may get the nerve to show them. I have taken pics for my own viewing and records, so that I can “see” the actual progress along with the stats. I think it is a good thing to do.
