In principle, heat is always good. However, I recommended therapeutic heat.
Perhaps I overshot the mark a bit with my recommendation. Maybe you guys are right and ultrasound is a league too high to start with.

Still, I don’t think it’s a mistake to look into the subject beforehand:
Read the first page of 5.5squared, that will improve your understanding of therapeutic heat. Reading does not hurt.
Here is the link again.

The important thing is to achieve as much as possible with as little stress as possible. 5.5 describes that pretty well.

He does and I would highly recommend that to beginners too. It has good detail, easy to follow and as it starts with light weight it is very safe

Dude, seriously?

The op is asking if warm water is ok for heating and you are again pushing ultrasound. That’s like a baby learning to crawl and you are trying to teach him how to compete in the olympic sprints. Just does not compute - you are just confusing him. You need to pay attention to the question(s) and stop pushing your agenda.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Warm tub or warm shower is a good option. Some guys use a cup of warm water, but that seems problemc to me. Warm until you feel the tissues starting to relax.

A rice sock is an option - use the search function to learn more about it. (Hint: rice in a sock and then microwaved).

Most of us here are not proponents of the bath mate as it does not have a gauge to monitor the vacuum pressure. We recommend “air pumps” as the best pumping option. There are many choices available from package deals (vac pump, hose and cylinder) to a la cart. Leluv and LaPump are just two of the many reputable retailers.

A vac pump is a vac pump is a vac pump. They are all made in china, are only 2 or 3 models and the price varies significantly from retailer to retailer. The very common pistol style vac pump can be found for around $20 at Harbor Freight to the corner auto parts store to Amazon/ebay. Just look for “brake bleeder kit” which will also have a hose and also a fluid trap if you want to use it with water. Caution: getting water into the vac pump can damage them. Mighty Vac is a slightly more expensive version.

The only other item you need to be aware of is if the cylinder has a quick disconnect fitting or has a molded in nipple for a hose connection. If you want the quick disconnect option you will also need a male quick disconnect fitting for the hose.

32, I think there is a misunderstanding here. I realize that US is a bit ambitious at the beginning and therefore refer to 5.5 (who does not use US, but heat pad). His explanations are really excellent!
From Scienceguy’s answer above, I recognize that at least he understood me correctly. Therapeutic heat does not necessarily mean US.

Thanks for explaining Rocco. I was indeed translating therapeutic heat to mean ultra sound. I apologize to you for my multiple errors, my bad.

Glad we could clear that up.
5.5’s explanations are really great and easy to understand. So it is recommended to read it and not very many questions will be left. I think that makes more sense to read that first and then discuss here. Even if Todee decides to go with the newbie routine, the linked reading helps immensely.

Key message: as little force as possible, just as much as necessary. And here the force is quantified!

If the goal is a sustainable gain in length, then in my opinion there is almost no way around therapeutic heat - be it heat pad (FIR) or US.

I also like to explain why I believe that heat is the key to success.
When I started with PE, I just overdid it and screwed up gains for myself. I collected information on another site whose credo is “much helps much” (connoisseurs should know which one I mean). It wasn’t until I came across TP by accident and read up on heat that I realized what I was doing wrong.

Right now I’m in a longer decon so my unit can recover from it. After the newbie gains with brute force I hit a wall, total stagnation for months. Only with therapeutic heat it continued and I gained another few % in length. Right now I see my tissue at a high stress level and I am stagnant again. This would not have been the case if I had not used the wrong approach in the beginning. And thus I recommend to go the “heat way” right from the beginning.

This really isn’t about pushing my agenda, but about helping others not make the same mistakes I did.

Tips:
-Dont buy anything expensive yet
-Low forces first (when i mean low, literally. Jelq for 5-10mins. Stretch for 5-10mins)
-heat
-understand your dick ( if it is growing and harder, thats a + sign, if getting shorter and softer, reflect and lower the intensity)
-read the veterans thread (the ones with many posts, like literally all the comments there)

Goal of a newbie (like me)
-develop the habit first before going pro
-discipline of not over training (prevent injuries, so you could go further without breaks)
-learn as much information as you could read.
