Question about clamping and conditioning
I started PE back in June with just a Bathmate and a dream. I thought I could just do this for a few years and gain the .5” girth I was seeking. Then people on forums said I needed to add manuals, so I started doing my research.
Stretching didn’t appeal to me. I have 7” of length already and wouldn’t even buy a half inch if it was for sale. Jelqing didn’t appeal to me either. Not only did some believe it was dangerous, but it looked boring and I didn’t see myself spending hours performing this movement. I tried doing some squeezes and that was ok. Clamping at the base with my hand didn’t feel right to me.
I looked at the newbie exercises with all the jelqing and stretching and didn’t want to do it. So I kept pumping, which I found enjoyable. I also worked on kegels and edging to improve my EQ. I continued reading about PE for about ten weeks and decided to start experimenting with soft clamping. Some people loved this girth exercise and I really enjoyed it when I tried it. Now I have two things I enjoy - pumping and soft clamping. If I don’t enjoy it, I didn’t think I was going to last long with this PE stuff. I would just be one of those guys that did it for a few months and then stopped. I know this is a marathon and I want to try this.
The problem is that people say that clamping should only come in after a lengthy period of conditioning. I’ve only done the soft clamping maybe a dozen times, never with any more than 8 toe shields. I figured I could condition my penis by very slowly increasing the number of toe shields. Then I could continue pumping at the same time. If it took two years to get the .5” of girth I want, then I’m ok with that.
I am interested in what people think about this. If I really need to start from scratch and do the jelqing and stretching, then I’ll have to reconsider whether I want to do this or not. Or else, maybe I could just stick to pumping every day and do nothing else, hoping to gain slowly over years, like some members of this forum. I don’t want to hurt my penis any more than I already have (I made a thread in the injuries section, and could use some advice about that too) so I could use some advice for how I could approach PE from this point forward. So far I’ve done 3 months of pumping and a dozen or less sessions of soft clamping (5-8 minutes).
