Question on basic jelq

Probably already been asked but just need clarification as there seems to be a distinct different feeling between the 2 methods:

When doing the basic jelq, after I finish the stroke with the first hand, do I release my grip with the first hand before applying grip with the second hand at the base or do I release the grip of first hand after I grip with the second hand?

I always wait ‘til after to release the first grip. It provides a nice “pump.”

Yeah it just matters whats comfortable
