I quit smoking cold turkey a week ago (8 days to be exact). I also cut out almost all fat and high carb foods (I’m not obese by any means, just looking to get healthy) and started PE on the same day.

I know, horrible empirical approach, how will I know what caused what when things go right and/or wrong.

I was concerned that I was having slightly poorer EQ since I began my new lifestyle. I masturbated once and had sex with my wife once. I would say the masturbation was like 80% erect and the sex wasn’t much better until I put a cock ring on, then it was decent. I was getting worried that it was the PE and thinking of quiting, but didn’t want to give up so early, so I put on some porn and jerked off again tonight. Much better, probably 90% or better EQ, but I hear alot of people on here say they get amazing morningwood and this is a great PI. I have actually had less morning wood. Aside from very minimal discoloration, it’s the only negative PI I’ve experienced, and the above examples of EQ aren’t vastly off track of the past 5 years or so since I got over prostatitis.

My question: I was thinking maybe it was my nicotine withdraw and lack of really sound sleep that could be leading to my lack of a.m. Timber. Does this sound logical or should I be concerned about my routine/penile health?

I’ve never considered having an erection upon awakening to be a very specific sign. You could be having nocturnal erections and not know it. Having one in the morning isn’t special, IMO. I’d be more concerned that you already have discoloration after only eight days. You may be pushing things a bit hard with your routine.

Also, sexy dreams and morning wood won’t happen with stress etc.

I can have a boner ANY TIME I want and I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I’ve had a morning wood in my entire life.

One big problem I see with new P.E.rs is that they are way too cautious. There can be a million things preventing your erections to be rock hard (first of them, your head); if you used to get rock hard erections when you were smoking and having fat, well… maybe you shouldn’t quit that fast. :p

If not, I suggest you get rock hard erections before starting P.E.; a penis is already an impredictable fluctuating thing, if you can’t guarantee at least a minimal level of erection consistency, it’s gonna be a bitch measuring your gains.

P.S.: It is most impossible that the newbie routine could have anything to do with your erection level going down.

I guess I mis-spoke or a few of you mis-read. I haven’t had any significant decrease in EQ in the last 8 days (unless you are comparing the last 8 days to sometime 8 years ago). It was just the morningwood thing, seeing as I’ve seen it referenced all over the place I assumed it was some kind of major PI. But, you’ve put my mind at ease.

As for the discoloration. Maybe that’s not even a good way to put it. I have virtually no pain or discomfort (slight soarness in the ligs periodically, which I assume is good) and my glans isn’t in pain or numb, just some very light bruising from stretching. I do need to find something to get a better grip without squeezing the crap out of my head.

Any suggestions? Toilet tissue is a no go since I do my workout in the shower. The wash cloth doesn’t seem to work any better than my hand. Do you think a shread of a cotton T-shirt would be better?

Anyway, aside from the morning wood, all my PIs are positive. No pain, no turtling (except when I go to the gym, it’s cold and my body seems to know when to tuck my guy out of the way), no flaccid firmness, just a little fuller and hanging much lower. I only do like 10-15 stretches and 60-80 Jelqs, maybe a total 20min. Workout plus a 5min. Warm up. Does that sound bad? I don’t feel like I’m even using as much force as the dude in the video (though no foreskin makes skin irritation a slight hazard).

The t-shirt material would seem better than a terry washcloth. Have you tried an overhand grip (thumb toward the body)? Grasp the glans between the first two fingers and wrap the thumb around the bottom of the glans. Gently squeeze with the cloth helping to provide traction.

I believe the Newbie Routine calls for 200 three-second jelqs. Your only doing 80? I understand you’re in the shower and can’t take all day. If your wife knows about PE (as your sig implies - to me anyway) then perhaps you can do more at another time of the day.

No she doesn’t know. I’m working my way into it slowly, sometimes days I might only do 2 X 30 and some days I might do 3 x 40 Jelqs, kind of depends, how much streching did I do, how much bending did I do with stretching, ect.

And yes, I do the over hand grip. Infact, I find the crank method very effective. With overhand grip, pull straight down and then turn your hand parallel with the ground making a capital L with my penis. Good stretch and bend so I feel like I’m stretching the tunica some also.

I might tell the wifey about this. Especially if I am only getting like 75% EQ like the other day before sex, I’ll use that as an excuse. I will probalby be alot more apt to tell her in a month or two if I see some gains (or maybe if I don’t and I think I need to kick it up a notch). I really think she would consider a PE regimin to make my junk bigger kind of silly (hopefully it isn’t). But she can’t say much about EQ. I just have to find the time though, kids, school, work, gym, homeowner responsibilities ect.
