Should I be worried

Should I be worried

OK, ever since Friday, a vein on my penis has been lumpy and feels kind of strange. I think it’s my dorsal vein - it goes from my base on top and then goes underneath a little bit and then trails back to the top, kind of like a horseshoe. Anyway, there’s a slight discomfort. Not too bad, but just a little. Sometimes the vein is noticeable and sometimes it’s not. When I touch it, it feels a little hard and weird. It hasn’t changed color or anything, so do you think I should be worried and do you think it will go away? I started doing PE a month ago, but I haven’t done PE or masturbated since Friday. I would go to the doctor, but I don’t have any insurance. If it’s something you think I should really be worried about, I guess I’ll have to find a way to go, but only if I should be worried. Oh, and I forgot to add that I can still get erections.

Sounds like it isn’t too bad. Although I haven’t had experience with something like this happening, I think you’ll be fine. Just don’t PE until the problem goes away completely! Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. I really hope it’s OK. I just think it’s strange how this vein hasn’t “flattened” back by now.

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Cease all PE.

You may have a thrombosed vein. That’s bad, but not the end of the world, as it will heal by itself.

You must not make it worse.

So stop PE until it feels completely normal, plus a week or two on top of that to make sure.

In the meantime do a search for thrombosed veins and see if it matches your injury.

I am very much a safety first kinda guy, especially as far as PE goes.

Great, after doing some reading, I do think it’s a thrombosed vein.

I really didn’t think I was going overboard, but I guess it happend when I went from 200 to 250 jelqs after 3 weeks into starting PE.

Yeah, you say there’s some discomfort, so you should stop completely until it goes away. It may take many weeks, unfortunately. Wait it out.

Without discomfort or erectile problems, vein changes aren’t worth worrying too much about, in my opinion, but yours does sound like it’s thrombosed, even if the pain is very slight.

OK, I’ll do that. I’ve been taking a hot bath at night, wearing loose underwear, and taking an aspirin a day hoping to help thin the blood. It is going to be REALLY hard not to masturbate for weeks!

But yeah, there’s a very slight pain, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s thrombosed. Is it OK to put ice on it? I’d rather have something cold on it than hot, or at least sometimes.

I would avoid the ice, if I were you. The aspirin may or may not help, but it probably won’t harm you.

I doubt you have to stop masturbating completely. Just be gentle with your dick, and don’t do anything that hurts.

If you find after, say, 4-6 weeks, that you have absolutely no discomfort anymore, but the vein still feels a bit “hard,” then it might be safe to resume your PEing, very gradually. Many of us veteran PEers have noticed changes in our veins’ (or lymphatic vessels’) hardness or appearance, and these are typically benign. It’s the pain that really indicates injury.
