Okay, so I’m still on the newbie stage but I have some issues with actual jelqing time. I apologize if this subject is just being rehashed.

I differentiate between two ways of timing jelqing time: the actual jelqing time and overall jelqing time.

The actual jelqing time is the time measured when you are putting stress on the penis.

The overall jelqing time is when you measure the jelq time PLUS the waiting time- which is when you either wait for the 100% erect penis to lessen or when you’re too flaccid and you are jerking it off to wake it up.

This is actually a big difference that I just realized. Here’s one of the routines that I have been doing examining: I used to do 15 minutes of overall jelqing time at 70% erect but I was never too sure on the amount of actual time of pressure on the penis. Today I tried to time eighty four (84) 5-second jelqs at around 70% erect. 84* 5 seconds is 420 seconds, which is 7 minutes. I timed it from beginning to end and it took roughly 30 minutes of overall time.

So the point basically is that in order to do 84 5-sec. Jelqs or 140 3-sec. Jelqs, it takes 30 minutes. In the newbie routine,

5 min hot wrap
5 min manual stretch (ten 30-second stretches)
10 min of jelq (two hundred 3-second strokes)
5 min hot wrap
50 kegels of five second holds each

Are you guys measuring overall or actual jelqing time? I’m pretty sure it means overall ‘cause it could take 40 minutes to finish just the newbie 10-min. Jelq routine.

Now the important thing to note is that I’m trying to jelq around 70% erect so the problems that arise with time is that if it’s at 100% percent, I have to wait for it to die down or if it’s too flaccid (30-50%) then I have to pump more blood into it.

Do you guys measure overall or actual jelq time? I needed to ask this because I think I could be risking over stressing my jelqs because my actual 7 min. Routine would be considered 30 minutes of actual jelqs to others. I plan to increase my ACTUAL jelq time to 15 minutes so that could be 1 hours overall which I think could be too much.

This is kind of like the hanging hours when BIB and others talk about at least 10 hours per week. They’re talking about ACTUAL hanging time which does not include the warm ups, wrappings, and the ten minute rest sets between hanging sets.

I never measured jelq time, I counted strokes. That way you are certain to get the 200 3-second strokes that are part of the routine. It may take longer than 10 minutes (I think my whole routine lasted 1.5 hours), but you get the full benefit of the planned exercise.

Thanks westla90069 for your input. I’ve read your previous inputs on jelqing and you always advise against too much time (over working) for newbies- but let me ask what is your current jelqing routine ?

Are you still on the 200 3-sec stroke routine? I’ve heard about these 500-1000 three stroke routines which seems outrageous to me. The overall jelqing routine can take 3 or more hours just for this. Thanks again.

I haven’t had an active PE routine since 2003. I jelq now and then when the mood strikes and usually only about 50 or so. I pull on it when I go to the bathroom and in the shower. I Kegel when someone posts the word on these forums.

Slow and steady wins the race is the old saying and it’s true here, too. I did basically the newbie routine and after a month added three ten minute pump sessions. I gained 1/4” per month when I was really into it. Once I saw that it did indeed work, I slacked off. I’m about an inch longer than I started with about half an inch more girth. Since I started at 7” x 5.5” that’s enough for me.

I have to echo West here. I don’t worry about time really. I count as well. I usually do 400 3 sec jelqs (wet). When I say 3 sec jelqs that doesn’t mean I actually time each stroke. It’s more like 400 slow jelqs. They could be 2.5 secs, they could be 4 secs.

Oh I also try to do 100 dry jelqs a day. So 500 total, which takes about 35-40 minutes total (including “wait” time, which is minimal anymore).
