Strange thing happening during stretching

I’ve tried to find subject on this issue, but don’t even know how to name it, so I have to try to describe it here. I don’t know if any of you guys have experienced this sensation, but I’m worried, because I don’t know if it might be dangerous.

Last night, during stretching (I do 7 or 8 30s stretches to right, and also that many to left) I felt something like tissue cracking in the base of my penis (there was no pain, but it scared a hell of me). It was like something is tearing apart, sensation similar to knuckle cracking (don’t know if this is the right translation). In the moment I thought that I had detached penis from the body, and stopped immediately. There was a slight uncomfortable sensation after that, but no pain. I had maybe 20% of erection during stretches, and applied approximately 70% of maximum force. Maximum force is one that would cause pain for sure.

Don’t know if this is normal and should I lower the force of stretching?

I think that was a “lig pop” but I’ve never experienced one before. I’ve read about them here many times.

Thank you for explanation, I would never find it by that name. I red something about it, it is not dangerous and it is considered as a positive sign.

I have had lig pops a few times. They are hard to explain. For myself I have only got them when I did not properly warm up.

Its a weird sensation. If I wouldn’t have read about them it would have scared the shit out of me.

My opinion on the matter is the tendon that popped was “earlier” stretched out further for a temp gain. It starts to recede back to its original state. The pop was the fact the tendon was not warmed up and the lack of elasticity made the noise during the sudden pull.

If you heat up a rubber band and stretch there is no noise. If you stretch it past what it was designed to stretch too, then cool it down and let it slowly recede back, then stretch again you can hear it make the small pop or crinkle noise.

I think this example best describes what I think happens.


Starting Stats: BPEL = 5.875, EG = 4.375 <> Current Stats: BPEL = 7.25, EG = 4.6

They are nor dangerous neither a positive sign.

yeah they were just lig pops. I get lig pops almost daily at certain point in my routine.
