STRETCHES without warmup?

Hey everyone!

Is it absolutely necessary to warm up (and down) before doing manual stretches?
I’m doing the newbie routine for 4 weeks now. Thinking of doing some additional stretches over the course of the day to further impose stress, but having to warm up/down for 5 min each would make it a bit more difficult, especially if I wanna do these stretches while being at work : _ )

Depends on the intensity.

If you are using a light intensity then you will not have an injury without warming up first.

But you have to take into account that a warming up will boost your stretching effectiveness.

I would say no, you don’t need warming up. I have no problem to do intense manual stretching in my bed before I sleep or in the morning.

Especially mornings are nice. And I can do it even with my girlfriend laying besides me in bed without noticing.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

I will go against the grain here and ask you to warm up but warming down is not necessary. Heat makes the tissues pliable, allowing them to stretch without breaking. You will also get a better stretch after a warmup.

I passive stretch with minimal warm up but although I’m new to PE I do have 30 years or so of static stretching experience and have developed an excellent mind muscle/tendon connection…shit, my cock’ s just snapped in half. I use heat if I’m active stretching

A thick down comforter is one of best easy warming devices I’ve found.
