Stupid Size Measuring Question I'm sorry for asking

I’m a pretty fat guy.. 30+% body fat..

Okay well, I get different measures if I measure directly above my penis and when I measure to the side. The difference is roughly an inch.

Any reason for the discrepancy?

How do most people measure, side or top? Most people say top but in the pics everyone measures to the side.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve discussed this with others who have the same issue. For myself, and those who have the same experience (with whom I have spoken), there is a small dimple at the very base of the penis. For whatever reason, this dimpled area seems to have tighter skin, which causes not only shorter measurements, but can hurt pretty damn bad, should one try and press hard enough to get a full BP length. So, my friend, fear not, for you are not alone. I measure slightly off-center, having the eduge of the ruler being as close to the dimple as possible, without actually being hindered by the tighter skin.

Just measure in the same location each time. That way your measurements are consistant and easy to track any progress made. I also think people measure more on the side cause of photos to be posted here. A side measurement is easier to show than a ruler on top of the rod.

LOL. Perhaps that’s because the side measurement almost always is bigger? If I measure from the side I’m 3/4” longer. But actually, I just checked the members’ pics section and it appeared that most guys were measuring from the top. Don’t know which ones you looked at.

Anyway, measure whichever way is more comfortable for you. Just be consistent so that you can accurately record your progress. If you’re interested in comparing yourself to numbers you see tossed around here, measure from the top.

Wow, that makes me feel a lot better to hear that at least some of the guys measure from the side! Because when I measure from the side, I’m 6 1/4, whereas I’m only 5 1/2 from on top. And I also have that dimple that hurts to press a ruler into. Nevertheless, I’ll continue measuring from the same spot.

I don’t exactly measure from the side, just off center. The ruler still apears to be on the top of the penis, though it is not centered. I do this because measuring with the center of the ruler going down the center of my penis causes a great deal of pain in that nasty little dimple.

A person 8 inches is 8 inches on top or side?

Is there anyway to fix the top being a shorter measure?

Oh Also..

The top measure, is it possible that this measure will be my full erect state as in my bad pad will only be on the sides when I lose weight?

I don’t know about you, but I only measure to say I have gained xxx inches. I don’t compare myself to other guys nor do I care about “average penis length”. Point being, measure consistently so you can acurately record changes, and only worry about you (if you start trying to “keep up with the Jones” you’ll only frustrate yourself). Measure top, side, bottom, standing on your head, who cares as long as you do it the same every time.

Yes I would. The reason for my PE is to enhance the sexual relationship I have with my wife.
