Three months on newbie routine with no gains. Continue or switch it up?

Hey Guys, It has been 3 months since I have been on the newbie routine:

5 to 10 min rich sock.
Stretch for 30 secs in 5 directions. Straight, down, right, left, up.
Jelq. Started slowly with 200, worked up to 300 and last week upped it to 350.

I don’t Kegel, I used to kegel before regularly and I noticed it didn’t help at all, in fact it made my involuntary contractions get worse.

No Gains so far. Here are some things to note.

Pros:
-I mostly ended the routine with edging and I am able to go for longer, However I don’t know if it will translate into real sex though as I broke up with my GF right before I started and haven’t gotten laid since. The good thing is that I have almost no involuntary contractions anymore and am able to almost pinpoint the exact moment of ejaculation and stop just short of that.
-Improved Erection quality for the most part other then some day where it feels like the penis is just dead (especially if I come after an edging session)

Cons:
-No Gains.

Should I continue the Newbie routine or switch it up? Also does the speed of the Jelqs matter a whole lot in the scheme of things?

For jelqs, the slower the better. It seems your time for stretches is a bit on the low side. You had no gains both in lenght and girth? No BPFSL gains either?

I am congratulating you and I mean it not ironic at all: “Improved Erection quality for the most part .” - hey, that means you are on the right track!
Higher EQ is a very desired and absolutely positive PI (physical indicator).

Just a few questions in addition to Marinera’s question about BPFSL:
- Do you warm down at the end of the session?
- At which erection level do you jelq?
- Fast or slow jelqs?

In my humble opinion you may spend a little more time on the manual stretching. I follow the newbie routine too, but have prolonged my manual stretching to several minutes.
But this needs heat, so my warm up is usually 5 mins of rice sock.
And jelqing: I do not really count the jelqs, I rather measure time. I do jelq in a very slow and concentrated way, in order no to overstress the vessels and the corpus of my penis.

Wishing you good gains and a great EQ

It just occured to me that even though I feel like I have no gains, I most likely did gain, I wish I had my before pics put in a place I could find easily. I am trying to locate them.

I didn’t really measure my penis but rather measured it AGAINST something. I am using the D shaped instrument from the Geometry box and I placed it next to my erect penis today and I do feel I may have gained about a quarter of an inch. However I will know for sure when I find my before pics and will post them up.

I do not warm down after, only warm up before. I am thinking of upping my manual stretch time. As for how erect I am it’s really hard to stay at one point. I start out fully erect wait for it to die down to about 40%, then proceed to jelq, when I notice the penis is getting flaccid, I look at a photo or two or stroke it a bit to get it back up and it gets back up.

I repeat myself: congratulations! I think your feeling about growth is correct.

May be a motivation to start a little measuring log. I am keeping a very detailed logbook (that’s me, just me), but I really recommend to keep some basic measures and especially a diary in case of unpleasant events (PI going down or EQ problems or whatever). And naturally write down changes in the routine you give to your best friend - we all tend to forget so you may not find out what worked really well and what worked less.
Get proofs! Your own hands and eyes may or may not be right, the ruler seldom is.
And by the way: do not measure too often - it gives too much expectations and can lead to training fatigue and frustration.

And another thing: think it over, I personally think a moderate Kegel routine can be helpful for the overall health of the penile region and its surroudings - just my two cents.

A big high-five from newbie to newbie

Thanks for that Richard, I think I will start writing down measurements and keep a log. As for kegels,, I’m gonna stay away, I did then in the past, they didn’t help, infact made me start contracting involuntarily. I’ve never had erection problems and always get a great erection do I font see the purpose. I’ve made incredible progress the last three months with edging and being able to control my ejaculation much better, all by avoiding kegels and concentrating on relaxing the area instead.

When you edge, you are doing Kegel’s too, right? Although the penis is erect, I don’t see why don’t should give the same benifts.

Nope I actually make it a point to avoid kegeling even my accident. I just don’t understand HOW kegeling is supposed to help make men last longer. I always hear it and read it and even asked before on the forums here if Kegling directly helped anyone last longer and really haven’t heard many success stories. The whole kegel right before ejaculation just doesn’t work in my opinion. At least for me it didn’t and AVOIDING a kegel when I get close to orgasm is what actually is helping me. I hope this makes sense

In three months you should not expect to see much of anything — we are not talking about stretching play dough here but very touch tendons. Measure regularly if you wish but don’t expect any real noticeable gains for at least a year.
