URGENT!! Possible burn injury

I just accidentally touched my glans for a second off my 200W infrahed heater warming up, around the eye. It stings like hell inside the eye. No visible signs of injury. Ran it under cold water briefly but I have no idea what to do. Help?

Think I’m alright. Glans are a bit red where I hit it and have one or two red spots on my glans (possibly from yesterday but I didn’t notice them). I just cooled it with cold water.

Keep an eye on things (no pun intended). Don’t put anything on it except for cold water and or ice. If it blisters get thee to a doctor.

Oh, don’t do that anymore, it hurts.

How can a burn injury on your penis not be urgent?

Just take it easy with your penis for a couple of days. Just use a cold cloth to cool instead of ice because that can hurt your tissue even more. If it is just a bit reddish and it hurts you know that you’re ok. and everything will heal just fine. (if it doesn’t hurt your nerve endings can be damaged)

Ice and cold water for burns? I’ve been told that this is no longer recommended - but to run under cool water for a long time. I googled and came across running under cool water for 20 minutes.

Dude, no need to roast your wienie with the IR lamp! Keep your meat at least 20 inches away from it. That is close enough to get the full benefits of the lamp.

Ouch! My sympathies. I’ve burned my leg a couple times doing PE by an infrared lamp. It was summertime, and of course then people (like my own kids) are asking what happened. But I’d rather have that happen than my one-eyed snake getting blinded by the light.

If it were me and it blistered, I’d put antibiotic cream (not petroleum-based ointment) on it. But if there’s ANY sign of infection, swallow your embarrassment and get to a doctor.
