Weird vein thing on groin- not from PE

I’m a noob here so I can’t post this anywhere else. Maybe a mod could move it to “injuries” if they think it’s necessary. Anyways, I have this thing that starts where my leg meets my groin and goes down about 2 inches. It is red and looks like an artery (I assume because it’s red not blue) The skin on top of is smoother and lower than the skin around it, I guess recessed is a good word for it. It doesn’t hurt at all. I know this is a confusing description but I don’t have a camera. My roommate has this too. It isn’t related to PE because I’ve had it for a few months and I just started PE. What do you think this is?

Are you an athlete,do you play sports or anything, do you lift weights?

I played soccer all my life up until last May but I don’t play anymore. I don’t routinely get exercise although I’m planning to start back up when school ends. No weight lifting, racquetball maybe once a week and that’s all.

Anybody have any idea?

Have you been to the infirmary to be checked for any STDs?

I’m pretty positive it’s not an STD, it seems more like a body health issue. I just wanted to see if I could identify what it was and start taking some steps to correct it.
