When to start clamping

When to start clamping

Hey whens a good time to start basic clamping? As in how long after starting P.E?

I think the “standard” recommendation for most advanced exercises or techniques is to have at least six weeks of the newbie routine or other basic exercises before moving on to other things. Some recommend double that (three months).

I agree with Westla on this. Clamping is probably the most stressful exercise for your unit. So it needs to be well used to exercises before you try it.

Give it three months before you try.

I also agree, 3 months of the newbie before you start the advanced exercises. Beside, a lot of us have seen great gains on the newbie. Condition your unit and it will readily accept the stress and pressure of clamping. Jumpning into clamping right away can cause injury and put you out of commision. Remember, everything we do here can be dangerous, so take it nice and slow. An injury down there takes a while to heal.

I feel like you can probably begin clamping whenever you no longer get those small red dots on your penis. That happened for me after about a month of 2 days on 1 day off jelqing. It’s a sign that the capillaries are no longer bursting near the surface, and I personally felt like my penis was ready at that point. Just go with your gut and don’t overdo it. Make sure to use warm/hot wraps before and after.

Don’t start clamping until you’ve stopped gaining from the newbie routine. These are the easiest gains you will get - max them out.

I agree with Pringles Can.

However, many people who train at gyms have a fascination with trying all sorts of different exercises. In general this doesn’t tend to be very beneficial for fitness gains as compared to having some focus, but a way to satisfy this urge is to allow one “play” day per week after you get to 6-12 weeks in the newbie routine.

Warm up as you would always do, but then try different exercises. This is where trying O-bends, clamping, different stretches, or devices could happen. Over time you would learn the technique, but wouldn’t necessarily interrupt your newbie gains as you master the basic exercises and increase your penis health and knowledge of your penis.

If you really are feeling the urge to try different things, take one day a week and no more and do it there and continue with the newbie routine.
