But what about the whole digit ratio thing? That males exposed to more testosterone in the womb tend to have longer ring fingers relative to index fingers… does that also affect penis size? Is there a correlation between a long ring finger (due to high-T in the womb) digit ratio and penis size?
The effect of different hormones at different stages of development on different tissues is very complicated and I haven’t read enough on the subject to give a good answer. There are some studies I’ve seen about penis size and digit length ratios, but I don’t know that they’re very relevant. I know that defects in connective tissue can result in abnormally long fingers and other bones, but again it seems like a tangential subject.
Doctors sometimes prescribe penis pumps after prostate removal since many men experience penile shrinkage after treatment. The medical community knows penis pumps work, they just aren’t willing to give a statement about it since they don’t have a study to cite or see the benefit in doing so since they’re MDs, not plastic surgeons, and are supposed to be focused on keeping people healthy, not attractive.
