A new approach for hard gainers

I’ve taken weightlifting breaks in the past to avoid overtraining injuries, always come back faster and stronger, I’m thinking this strategy may work for PE as well. Besides, when my dick hurts, it doesn’t like to f**k.

3/4” in 2 months, sorry, you cant be in the Hard Gainers club :)

Sixerman I think the unit was just swollen because the gain didn’t last, I took time off because of discomfort and its looking like the original size to me now that the discomfort has resolved. But haven’t remeasured. I have very little experience with PE but I think rest periods make sense logically, allows tissues to heal, avoids overtraining injuries.

Okay, okay, you can come with us! :) You have to bring the Dunkin Donuts coffee though.

It’s still too early to tell whether I’m a hard gainer or not. I’ve only been doing PE for 3 months.

But I think it’s very important, especially for hard gainers, to understand as much as possible about the science of stretching and growing connective tissue.

Here’s a theory, completely unproven. But please hear me out. Just pretend for a second that hard gainers suffer from the “handicap” that they heal more quickly than easy gainers. The injuries and microtears they inflict on themselves heal and strengthen their tissues before any gains can be made.

Assuming this is true, what can you do? Taking long breaks may help to decondition your penis, but is there another way?

Have you guys tried just the opposite—double sessions? Have you tried working out morning and evening? The idea is that you may need to break down the tissues faster, because they tend to heal faster. PE consists of breaking down and building up. At least on the surface, it makes sense that, if your system is fast at building up, you need to be fast at breaking down to keep the right balance.

Inflammation heals connective tissue. Many drugs out there delay or inhibit inflammation, such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Celbrex, etc. It might be worthwhile to try taking one of these to see if you can “slow down” your rebuilding process. Take this with a grain of salt, as I have no bio background past AP Bio in high school. But it seems there’s a certain logic at work here.

In summary (to be taken with utmost skepticism), slow gainers may actually be fast healers. By breaking down tissues more quickly, the entire breakdown/rebuild process might be accelerated, turning slow gainers into fast gainers.

Likewise, by slowing down healing, slow gainers can become slower healers, which may give their PE efforts more of a chance to take hold.

Hey ModestoMan.

As you know, I do respect your scientific thoughts.

I have pretty much been an animal with PE. I might have done too much, but never had any injuires or anything. When I did bruise, I did heal very fast, so there might be something to that part.

No thanks! Your last shipment caused me no end of bother, as you knew it would. The midnight raid was just the last straw and what could I possibly say, except guilty as charged your Honour.

Hey SixerMan,

Thanks for the vote of confidence :) . But I’m not putting my manhood on the line with this theory. It’s just a wild ass guess. It sounds like you worked hard at PE. Did you also work fast, meaning twice or more per day?

I’ve been here for nine months and I don’t know how I missed this thread. I am joining the club. I’ve not gained since my initial gains. I read your theory and I must say, I’m intrigued. I think I’m going for 5 days of PE and 2 days of rest. I’ve always considered myself a fast healer so there just might be something to it.

This makes a lot of sense! Happy gaining dudes!

I heal very, very fast and I have gained well, so I don’t think that theory has any merit…unless the body and penis heal at different rates?

Oh and guys, put me down for a box of donuts too…Thanks!

Oh well, it was an interesting theory. :)

ModestoMan: I “train” morning, during the day, and at night, during any small windows of time I have.

Benbe, plenty of room for new friends.

I’m sure there’s a lot more going on than simply “breaking down” and “building up.” For example, the healing process proceeds in stages; inflammation is just the first part. I recently read (I’m sorry I don’t have the site—I really want to pull all this together some day) that it takes about 6 weeks or more to fully recover from a sprain. Although PE’ing may not cause the level of damage of a sprain, it’s probably safe to say that one heals over the course of days (at least), rather than hours.

Although the theory may not be perfectly correct, there’s still a chance it is approximately correct and may improve the results for some hard gainers. I have no doubt that the theory grossly overgeneralizes. It may be completely bogus—who knows? Without an actual scientific study, we may never know whether it has any merit.

That’s the problem with all these PE theories; they’re never tested. It would be interesting to try an experiment among the readers of this thread. Half would try double sessions with regular doses of Ibuprofen. The other half would proceed with daily single sessions. We could then compare the results for the two groups properly using statistics.

Anybody want to volunteer?

PS. I’m not calling this theory “my” theory for a couple of reasons. First, others have probably thought of it before. Second, I don’t want to get too committed to any one way of thinking. It’s important to stay flexible—especially when there are so many unknowns.
