A Urologist’s View of Turtling
Mrz. G. and I received a visit last night from our good friend who I simply refer to as Doc on the forum. For some of you new members who may not know, she is an MD and was my urologist for many years. I no longer have a professional relationship with her; she is just a very good friend of ours. Although it was a social visit and much wine was consumed, the conversation eventually got around to PE.
It was very cold here in Las Colinas last night, and since most of this visit was conducted outside in our hot tub and later inside our apartment by the fire, there was a lot of elongation and shrinkage happening, which got the subject of turtling started. When Doc drinks, she gets very down to earth, and the medical facade goes out the window and you would never know she was a doctor, especially when she is with Mrz G. The two of them were getting pretty giddy and joking about how much difference a flaccid penis can grow and shrink from just hot water or cold wind. When I’m down in that 104-degree water I get very long, but when I set up on the side of the hot tub to cool off I turtle, especially when it is 31 degrees out like it was last night.
I don’t turtle away inside the fat pad like I use to for two reasons. One, I no longer have much of a fat pad, and two my dick has just gotten too fat to retract completely into the body, but it still turtles when exposed to a brisk wind. Only now it just kind of retracts into the excess PE skin of the shaft. This retraction gives the illusion of a really fat girth about 7” or more. When I first met Doc, about 8 years ago I weighed over 300 pounds and when I turtled my dick went away altogether. I have discussed this matter at length on the forum before but since this question was asked on another thread I thought I’d write more about Doc’s views on turtling. This is how she explained it to us last night.
The reason the penis turtles is for protection. Whenever it senses trauma, be it cold weather, rough sex, being hit in the groin or PE especially the latter, the body pulls the organ back deep inside the body where it is safe and warm and out of harm’s way. So when you jump into an ice-cold swimming pool or overdo sex or PE the result is a shriveled retracted penis.
Now, this is where I disagree with Doc. According to her, a turtling penis is a healthy penis, and we should never try to keep this involuntary body function of self-preservation from taking place. Thus, according to the good doctor we should “Never prevent it from turtling.”
I’m sure this is good medical advice from the point of view of healing an injury, but I think it is bad PE. I think right the opposite is true for OUR needs. We are working with controlled damage here. The whole principal behind natural PE is to break down the tissue, then force it to heal back while being held in an extended state, such as with an ADS or Fowfering. By not allowing the penis to retract back inside the body, we are forcing it to heal in an elongated state. If we let the penis retract back into the body to heal, it will most likely heal quicker and more efficiently, but it will also heal short, strong and more resistant to PE. Also, by keeping the cells pulled apart (Extended) while they heal, this allows new cells to form and fill in the gap, thus creating more cells and thus more tissue resulting in a longer penis.
The same principals apply with girth work. By expanding the tissue laterally with such routines as clamping, pumping, dry jelqing in a semi erect state, we are keeping the penis engorged and expanded laterally for a longer duration of time than it would be normally. With exercises such as clamping we are actually causing a self educed preapisam (Doc’s term), and by slipping on a cock ring, or a mag-wrap or in my case a single lead peweight, we are keeping the penis almost permanently expanded laterally while the micro-tears heal in that inflated state, thus causing more girth. By drinking lots of water thus keeping the penile tissue hydrated and heavy and taking such supplements as L Arginine or NXO2 and even ED drugs such as the liquid Cialis which allows more blood flow into the penis, we are keeping it in a perpetual enlarged state as the controlled damage heals laterally.
In conclusion, Doc does not deny that these methods do indeed cause enlargement of the penis, however she sticks to her original claim that PE is dangerous, and that the gains we get from it do not out weigh the dangers evolved to get there.
I promised her I would once again pass her warning on to the community. So I have. She will read this thread later, but unfortunately will not respond to any questions, at least not on the record. This is friendly advice only.
