PG: You hit another good point here ;)

Come at this issue from a doctor’s perspective: There is no scientific evidence suggesting that PE works (nothing solid, for that matter). So when a guy comes to you asking for advice, what do you do? Surely you don’t say, “We’ll son, you’re just SOL because penis enlargement is impossible.”

Rather, you try to help in the only way you know how: by telling him that penis size doesn’t matter, and to forget about PE because it’s a waste of time. This is a fair enough answer, IMO. The doctor doesn’t know any better, and unless he did his own research (which most won’t for such an issue like this one), this is his best way to help.

All this will change some day, though. PE can’t hide in the closets of the Net forever. Sooner or later Thunder and the vets here will get a Nobel Prize for their discoveries as a community….

…Hey, a guy can dream can’t he?

Yes, I think there is a lot more to it. It’s not simply about where the money is, or resistance to new ideas, but a complexity of factors and some genuine unresolved questions.

For instance, we know here that there are a lot of inconsistencies that are hard to understand - some people are gainers, and some seem not to be. And we know, as well, that there are some risks and bad outcomes, not just to surgery but even to pumping and jelqing.

So it’s not like PE is something that works 100% without any risks, that doctors could unhesitatingly recommend. It would take a lot of study to figure it out, with the possibility that it would turn out to have too many variables and too many risks to be straightforward, and so for a variety of reasons PE has not been subject to rigorous enough studies that doctors can responsibly recommend it.

And then there are genuine risks that doctors have to take into account, as well - busted veins, possible ED, and other things we see here at Thunder’s. Doctors take an oath to “do no harm”, so they can’t do anything except advise people against it until they have good evidence about how to control any possible risks.

yes i failed to catch the sarcasm i thought he was another doubter. And im not leaving any time soon not with the gains I’ve made.

Yes*

This also has to be looked at from the Doctpr’s point of view.

Until it has been medically approved. There is a risk to the doctor that if he/she tells someone that PE is ok Then if anything does go wrong, the doctor can be sued for damages as he gave a professional opinion.

But as he does not have any medical backup for his recommendation to carry out the procedure of PE, then he’s in deep trouble. He acted outside of medical treatment.

Until the medical profession gives PE, as we know it, some approval. Doctors must regard it with suspicion. Publicly at least.

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

frypup, you’ve been a member here since 2002. That should have given you plenty of time to do your own test as to whether or not PE is real.

Horny Bastard

Possibility of nerve damage?…In any exercises there is a possibility of damage and injury. I think the good doctor underestimates how advanced this underground PE community has become. His statements that jelqing doesn’t produce growth is just false. I don’t blame him for not knowing any better. There was a time I would have felt the same way. But almost 2 inches later, I brush his doubt off my shoulders. I still have the same ruler I used when I began and see the many milestones of growth reached over the years jelqing. So to the doctor I say: “tear blood vessels,..tear.”

2003: 5.75" BPEL, 3" Flacid /2004: 6.75" BPEL, 5" Flacid

2007: 7.5" BPEL, 5.5" Flacid /NOW: 8" BPEL, 5.74" Flacid

/Goal: 8.5" BPEL, 6" Flacid

It is impossible to prove something does not exist, or does not work. The best you can do is prove it circumstancially.

I think this makes a lot of sense, but if doctors did some research, they could still not endorse PE, but tell people they can try it at their own risk.
