Are there really any benefits from doing your PE routine just before you go to sleep?

Are there really any benefits from doing your PE routine just before you go to sleep?

I’m not sure why, but I have always been under the impression that organising my routine this way makes it more effective.
The problem is it’s a huge pain in the ass for me to do it this way, so I was just hoping I could find out if there really is any added benefit for doing it just before sleep.

I always do my routine in the shower and I aim very hot water (which is only just bearable) on to my pubic region for the entire routine. I try to protect my balls from the heat though. I do a hot wrap for a couple of minutes and then 15 minutes of manual stretching followed by 15 minutes of jelqing. I then put on that homedics wrist band before going to sleep, I try not to make it too tight though.

I’m pretty sure that the heat helps, but I still don’t know if anyone actually found a scientific reason for doing a routine just before sleep? I have just always been under the impression that this is better. I may have read things on this forum making me believe this, but I have been gone for a long time, so I don’t remember.

Anyway I hope everybody’s PE is going well and I’m quite curious as to what people think about my question!

965 views and no answers (as of now) seem to indicate that no, there is no reason to believe that there is any special advantage of PEing just before you go to sleep.

At least I can’t think of any.

I dont know of any exactly but it could be argued that gains are as much about rest time as they are about the exercise so resting well after PE could help your gains by allowing the body to recover and rebuild from the stretching.

Others might however might say any exercise is best done first thing in the morning, I prefer the night theory myself but whose to say which is correct especially with PE, you might want to look up what the verdict for normal exercise is and draw a conclusion from there.

The purpose of doing it nighttime it is because of noctural erection. More blood = better recovery = better gains. It is like wrapping after a PE session, you are expanding the tissus, allowing a better blood flow, which is suppose to like for PE purpose.

I think the most important thing is just finding the time to get them done. I do my workout at night most of the time and can’t say if it helps or not.

I read somewhere before that your skin is more recepive at night time. This was for face creams etc but I suppose if there is a reason for facial skin being more receptive at night then it could extend to other tissues.
Im not sure but Ive wondered about this before myself.

Skin would be more receptive due to lack of UV - it’s dark in your bedroom - so the face creams could work without interference from UV. Also, lack of wind etc would let the skin rest. But I think it’s a fancy way of saying that you don’t want to walk around looking all glossy on your forehead.

Well, if you plan on traction wrapping then PE before sleep is a good idea, since you’ll have undisturbed time for the wrap to kick in + all those added benefits of healing but in an extended state.

Hey, read up on traction wrapping before you do anything dumb. Sleeping with wraps - even if ever so light - may damage things. You might wake up before your dick is dead from oxygen deprivation.

Redwood wrap during night and didnt have any problem. It is all about HOW you wrap.

Of course it is all about HOW you wrap. I said “read up” and “you may damage”. All wrapping will hinder circulation to some extent, otherwise the volume or length would not be affected. I traction wrap for hours daily, and I still wind up with semi-cold glans sometimes. But it never goes unattended for hours.

I am well aware of Redwoods practices. And he continually keeps telling people he cannot recommend it even though he is comfortable with doing it himself.
