BC Muscles

BC Muscles

I have a feeling that exercising the BC muscles as is done during the kegel exercise is counterproductive to PE gains. A stronger, thicker BC muscle might be harder to stretch. However I admit to not totally understanding the anatomy. As I understand it the BC muscle attaches to a perineal membrane and to the underlying bulb of the spongiosum. The IC muscles appear to be skeletal muscle attached to the pubic ramus, but is the IC muscle involved in the kegel even? Can the IC muscles be voluntarily contracted?

Incidentally my reference source calls the BC muscle the bulbospongiosus (BS) muscle. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, its the best male genital anatomy lesson I have seen online.

Its just a hunch I have. Why would you want to strengthen something in the area where you are trying to stretch? Its not like I have any data but its not something I am going to work on during PE, just out of fear that it might slow down gains.
