Burned by a Rice Sock

Not bad, but I burned the skin. Be careful with whatever you’re using for heat.

My current rice sock is about 2 cups of rice in a cotton sock. I pop it in my 1200 watt microwave for about 1:40 for the initial heating. Then I nuke it for a minute or a little longer before each set. It gets pretty warm, especially if my breaks are short.

I place an old t-shirt folded in half over my ligs/penis, then the sock on top. Works ok. When hanging down the sock makes better contact with the top, tight septum area, and that’s where I got a little burn. It didn’t hurt, but the top layer of skin was gone in a small spot, sort of like after you’ve peeled a blister. I layed off the heat for a few days and now it’s almost fully healed. A small scab and some scar tissue remain.

This is just a FYI and warning to be careful. I thought I’d feel pain if the skin got too warm. Maybe the area desensitized gradually.

WOW…you put it in for that long? Now, THAT’S A MAN!! (a man in pain that is). Thanks for the tip hobby. Hate to see people get hurt, but it does help the rest of us when you post. I was using a sock, but I only put it in for a minute max. I couldn’t take any more than that.

The time depends on starting temperature. When I used this sock last summer 1:25 for the first heating brought it to about the same temp.

Ouch! That’s another reason I use two heating pads.

The rice sock is cheap and the heat is localized but:
Re-heating is necessary.
Risk of burns is higher.

I use a regular heating pad and a Thermacore heating pad with intense heating (and it draws moisture out of the air too). I lay both pads on top of each other and let them heat the whole pelvic area.

Hobby, I have noticed myself that using a rice sock that I come close to burning myself. I have some spots about the size of a dime that look a little tan. I have used lotion on them and it helps. Hope this doesn’t leave a scare there.

Hobby, I like you as if you were that strange cousin who constantly chewed tobacoo at the reunion. I think we need some Saftey vids for you to watch. Like they made me waych at UPS and Fed Ex Ground. First the potato stabbing/cutting incident and now this

Everybody please learn from Hobbster’s mistake. Thanks Hobby for given us the 411. Heal up my brother. Heal up well.

I thought wet/moist heat was better than dry heat for this kind of stuff? Maybe I am wrong.

Actually TT, rice when warmed does give a nice moist heat. I use the rice sock for penetrating heat on my shoulder muscles. The doc said it is the best way to loosen up tight muscles. Of course we all know that the penis is not a muscle, but how cool would it be if it were. “Look at him flex that thing!”

Isn’t a hot rice sock considered to emit moist heat?

Edit: ynar had answered the question already. Just call me Johnny-Come-Latley.

P.S. Having a hard time with a nickname for you, ynevereth.

That is what I meant to say in comparison to a heating blacket set up. Sorry for the confusion. My fault. I was taking to Hobbster and Rammy at the same time. Different statements without clear indications.

Isn’t a blanket have no mositure, which really isn’t the best was what I wanted to say.

Yes, Tweasers. But if you re-read my post you will clearly see I had purchased a “special” heating pad which is intense and moisture producing. It draws humidity from the air and (lo and behold) gives moist heat. It’s called Thermophore, and it’s made by a company called Battle Creek.

Rice socks put out pretty good moisture for the first heating of the day, much less on the second, and basically none after that. Same goes for the commercial microwavable heating pads.

Twat, you have a savant-like memory of injuries and mayhem. I had forgotten about the potato incident.

Oh Okay, I misread it. I thought it made moisture free heat only. I am big dummy. Apologies.

Hobbster, I remember you were talking right after you did that while in the chat many moons ago.
