Big Tex: Sounds to me like your wrap is too thin. The athletic tape is not a good wrap. You really need neoprene strips. It’s the thickness and stretchy-ness that makes these types of wraps work well.
The original wrist wrap I wrote about in the beginning of this thread is no longer available, but there are a number of athletic wraps on the market that work as well, or even better. Go to the isle in any drugstore where they keep Ace Bandages. Here you will find quite an assortment of neoprene wraps. There are elbow wraps, knee wraps, etc. As long as it is made of neoprene you’re good to go.
It really doesn’t matter what shape the wrap is, you will have to cut it into strips anyway, so a 4” wide Knee wrap will give you several dick wraps, because the Dick Wrap only needs to be as wide as a single clamp. Usually neoprene is blue on one side and black or red on the other, like the old wet suites used to be. A mouse pad is the right material, but usually too thick and not stretchy enough.
The Velcro fasteners are convenient, but not really necessary; the clamp will hold it on. You may not always be able to cut the wrap so the Velcro is intact on all strips you cut, but you can usually get at least one strip with some of the fastener part left on it. You only need a tiny bit of the Velcro to hold the wrap till you get the clamp around it. Cut the tooth part of the Velcro so it does not come in contact with the skin. (A triangular cut) This can be very uncomfortable once under the grip of the clamp.

Yes. Absolutely. You can completely destroy your dick with these things. I suggest using the utmost caution, or even better, just Don't Clamp at all. Never at anytime in this thread or any other have I suggested otherwise.
