Malcolm Gladwell wrote a book that spoke about the difference between good musicians and those who performed at the concert level, and the difference he found was that the best musicians had done one thing that the others hadn’t.

They did more work.

10,000 hours or more.

He found very little other difference between run-of-the mill violinists and those who performed with national orchestras.

He found this timeframe was true for other skills as well, such as mathematics or computer engineering or rocket science.

So my question is; how much time are you willing to put in to get the dick you want?

At times it sure felt like I put in 10,000 hours on my penis when I was a teenager:)

"Outliers" is a nice book but a more constructive discussion is "Talent is Overrated" by Geoff Colvin. The takeaway is not just how many raw hours you put in, but how you construct your "deliberate practice" regimen to produce extraordinary results. If you’re interested, the article version on which the book was developed is available online: Why talent is overrated - Oct. 21, 2008.

As for your question, at least 5-7 hours a week for 3-4 years is over 1,000 hours that I’m hoping will get me from 6x4.75 start to something closer to 7.5x5.75. After 8 months, I’m already 1/3 of the way there.

Thanks for that article jd.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

I heard that before it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert.

10,000 hours to become an expert was a nice headline (and an easy read) but didn’t close the circle on how to effectively improve yourself. Colvin’s article/book focusing on “deliberate practice” is much more insightful if you are into “self-improvement” type books. In PE terms, a guy doing a training regimen with the wrong technique and intensity for 10,000 hours will not produce the results of a guy who spends far less hours constantly adjusting and optimizing his routine to effectively push his penis to achieve his goals.

I seriously doubt that I will ever have the desire, opportunity or endless support of my wife to achieve the expert level that some of the senior members of this forum have achieved. 8x6 or more is just too much for my situation. I’ve already learned a great deal from reading this board and switching to O-bends and supra slammers have finally produced measurable girth gains. The stress on my penis and sore fingers coupled with positive PIs and gains tell me that I’m closer to finding my “deliberate practice” regimen versus the similar number of hours I spent my first 6 months.

I’ll have to keep that in mind when I get bummed out on PE, everything has a price!

What I want to know is that after 10,000 hours of slow continual improvement (if you are so lucky to gain consistently) by the end of it you may not even realize you have truly gained. Think of how you don’t notice your pet growing until he gets huge and you realize you have a 50 pound cat. For instance, I’m so insecure about my own size that despite having seen gains I cannot seem to accept my size. I’m at the milestone now that unless I can overcome that mind set, no amount of time or gaining will ever alleviate my want for a better member. Don’t let that want cause you to practice bad PE !

I think the 10,000 hours counts the time spent using wrong technique and developing the right one to become an expert. That is the point of the 10,000 hours you are constantly adjusting and optimizing becoming an expert in any area.

Well yes. I play guitar and have done so for forty years. I taught myself as a child and played in bands. I do session work occasionally even now, yet don’t read music.

Expertise comes in many forms.

I consider the time spent here as an apprenticeship, and that I have much growth to come.

Time is so precious. I don’t think I will have time to become an expert PE’er. At 4 hrs per day that would be 6.85 years. I am probably averaging 1-1/2 hrs a day. That equates to over 18 years. The doctors told me I’d probably make 60. I hope to make it to at least 70. That gives me 12 years to become an expert. I think when I get a year in I will have at least gotten my journeyman’s license in PE. We’ll see next March. In 4 months I’ve gained 1” BPEL and 5/8” in girth. My EQ is great. My ED is gone. I know I have a bigger than average dick instead of thinking I was small the rest of my life. If I continue to grow at even a1/4 the rate I have been then in March I will measure 7.5” BPEL and my EG will be 6.188”. At that point I will retire and draw my journeyman’s pay. Good sex as long as I live or can get it up. I’ll probably find that I need PE to keep the EQ up and the ED at bay. Very interesting Holmes! So we are destined to become like firegoat.

Mind over matter. All of life is transitional.

And all life is transitional.
