Does this prove my penis can be longer?

Lying on my back with an erection, I use my right hand to hold it flat against my abdomen. I put my left hand, palm down, across my abdomen with the knuckle of my pinkie (smallest) finger touching the tip of my penis. Leaving my left hand in place, and not moving in any other way, I use my right hand (OK grip) to pull my penis up, and its tip comes a centimeter or more closer to my navel.

Does this prove that I have potential for* length gains? Why/not?

Stated less absolutely, is it valid to say that this provides evidence that I have potential for length gains?

*further in my case; though I'm thinking of newbies

I don’t think it does. Regardless of how much PE you do there will always be a little extra give when you put it under force. At the same time it’s also not a sign that gain will be elusive for you.

Start (Oct 2010) NBPEL: 5, BPEL: 5.875 inches, BASE GIRTH: 5.25 inches, MID GIRTH: 5

(November 2013) NBPEL: 5.875, BPEL: 6.625 inches, BASE GIRTH: 5.625 inches, MID GIRTH: 5

Goal NBPEL(7-7.5)xMEG(5.5-6) (journal)

Maybe as you’re lying down it allows your pelvis to tilt up slightly ? that would do it.

“not moving in any other way”

Hmm could still be the fact that you’re laying down and not supporting any weight on your hips.
I do most of my stretching straight up while standing and I’ve found if I relax and tip my pelvis up slightly I can stretch about an extra 1/2”, everything seems to loosen up a bit.
I appreciate that you’re talking about stretching erect so it may not be the same thing.

Not only have I been measuring, I’ve also been telling other guys how to measure for over 17 years now…so I’m pretty aware of the numerous ways one can get fooled with measuring. This is a genuine extension with the stretch, and I have no reason to think it wouldn’t be the same standing up.

I wonder if other guys experience the same, doing exactly as I described? Or more? Or less? Or no difference?

Did I suggest you where fooling yourself ?
You asked for opinions so I offered some, I have some more but I clearly don’t have your years of experience so I won’t waste you time.

No disrespect meant. Those years of measuring involve plenty of fooling myself, which is why I sometimes recommend NOT using a ruler, but a book, or spray can. I’m open to all ideas, and will check again, but almost completely certain there is no pelvic tilting involved.

I did post a poll. If you want to try it, and participate, please do!

How about a drop in erectile pressure caused by being on your back ?
It could be just enough to allow the tunica to stretch lengthways slightly, you could check for a small reduction in girth as the length increases ?

Can you try this, versus simply speculating?

I don’t see any relations between the two things.

Just did, didn’t notice any increase, I guess since you do then you’re best placed to figure out why.

Does this difference between your erect and ‘erect under force’ by chance match a similar difference between your BPEL and BPFSL?

Anything at this point is going to be speculation. The only way to prove it is possibly potential growth is if you actually grow another centemeter in erect length and this difference disappears when you repeat the measuring sequence.

This distinction always amuses me, seeing as I introduced BPFSL ("dead stretch") as a way to approximate BPEL. (Actucally several years before 2002, but it’s the oldest archive of my site that I know of.) I understand now that this is not true for all guys.

[/QUOTE]Agreed.

Tom, you introduced BPFSL for that goal; not everybody takes BPFSL for that goal (I think measuring BPFSL was used way before than you introduced it by urologists, by the way).

Actually, using BPFSL to approximate BPEL doesn’t make much sense to me, since you can’t be sure you are always pulling with the same force required to approximate BPEL and since that force probably will vary depending on many variables. Ithink tha if you want to know your BPEL, better to measure your BPEL; if you want to know if your penis has become longer, measure your BPFSL.
