Nope, not the kind of heat that Veesel is talking about. When the wife makes “cold process” soap, the heat gets upwards of 250 degrees I believe. Warming the oil gently the way Veesel does should only serve to make it feel better and improve absorption. I’m not sure it will get it warm enough to cross the passive/active absorption line, but having those molecules moving faster should only help.
IMHO this does NOT mean you should skip heating yourself up as well, though. Especially if treating thrombosis, you want that tissue nice and pliable and those pores wide open.
An additional tip for absoption passed on by miketakk I believe, it helps if you start with clean skin, like right out of the shower. Dead skin cells, lint from your clothing and other environmental junk only serve to hinder absorption, to that end some light exfoliating in the shower would help as well. I use an oatmeal soap with very, very coarse oatmeal in it, feels like 20 grit sandpaper. :)

Speak of the devil. Why mike? Will it not stay in suspension with oil? Need an emulsifier? Sparky seemed to use it without difficulty on his arm and we’re waiting with baited breath to hear how it’s working on his johnson.
