Girth Gains & Permanence (Are Girth Gains Really Only Temporary?)

I’ve read a couple of posts by people who have taken breaks from PE and they’ve reported loosing their girth gains.

I always thought girth gains were permanent, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

What’s your experience? What do people think?

I lose mine over time. However, recently I gained a quarter inch and it doesn’t seem to go away even after a couple weeks. Bet if I waited 6 months though it would be gone.

Many guys say they keep most of their girth gains, but that hasn’t been my experience. Maybe I have never “cemented” them enough.


*I measure PRE-WORKOUT, normal erection* Started: 7 EBP x 4.9 EG. Several years on and off PE, now 8.125 EBP length x 5.5 EG midshaft (5.8 base). Working on girth (clamping) again after breaks due to injuries - fast recent gains! Pics

I started at 5.25 and managed to get up to 5.9 at one point but that didn’t last long. If I do any girth work at all I’ll stay at around 5.75, but even when I don’t do any PE at all for months my girth never drops below 5.5

So I have a quarter inch that seems to be permanent and another quarter inch that is semi-permanent.


Starting size: 7"x5.25" bp

Current size: 7.25"x5.875" bp

Goal size: 8.75"x6" bp

According to what I have read, most clampers and pumpers lose their girth gains after taking long breaks. Last year, I took such a long break, and I have only lost a bit of girth gains, that might be because I did a lot of jeling.


7 x 6 EG is perfect!

Routine : Manual-V-Inverted V-JAI-BTC stretches (alot of stretches :D ). Wet Jelq, Pumping (once a week to maintain my girth)

My first 0.3” (from 5.2” to 5.5”) seem to be permanent.

Last summer, I was at 5.7” during dedicated PE for 1-2 months, but stopped PE and went back to 5.5”. I just restarted girth work 2 weeks ago and now usually measure 5.6” after a couple of jelqs, but 5.7” for hours after a work-out. So if I’m about to have sex, I warm up. ;-)

I think they become permanent after a consistent PE routine followed for a long time(possibly 2+ years). I have been doing PE off and on for 4 years now. At one point, I was up to 7x5.125 after 4 months of consistent PE. After a year and a half of not doing anything, I retracted to 6.625x4.625. Even though this is disappointing, I did start at 6x4, so I feel that the .625 gain was cemented and will remain permanent no matter what I do.

I started again recently and my gains are coming faster, I’m currently at 7x4.75 after a couple of months of consistent PE. I’m probably more around 7x4.875 now, I try not to measure but once a month.

What do you mean by long break? How long?

I am supposedly a good girth gainer.
Just took a 7.2” base girth measurement believe it or not. Not soon after a clamp or jelq session, but about a day or so after and my fluid buildup never lasts that long.

I have found that they tend to fade over time but my starting measurements were about 6” at my base and I’m at least 6.5” there now even if I leave it for a couple of weeks with no PE. And on a day to day I am bordering the 7” mark, with mid shaft varying from 6-6.25”
Therefore I do conclude that girth can become permanent. The problem is, I havent been able to pinpoint what it is thats making it permanent. Mainly due to me learning as I go along and not really sticking to a full routine, changing bits here and there due to time factors and laziness at times. (Being totally honest).
However, it seems to have been working for me even though I cant put it down to a certain exercise or days spent doing that certain exercise.
Guess you could call that proof of the ‘peter dick method’ lol or just that I’ve been very lucky with girth. Wish I could say the same about length…..

For me, girth gain didn’t easily decrease once it was firmly there. Length does drop if I don’t do maintenance for some time, but while doing active PE I built enough of that in as “insurance” that I don’t worry when length falls off.

Like many here, if I take an extended break I lose some, but not all.

So I just chalk it up to more fluid build up than I thought.


7.75 BPEL, 5 in. Mid-shaft, 5.5 in. Base

6.9 NBPEL

8.25 BPSFL

Definitely not permanent.


Starting: (2/1/06) (nbpel=7.8) (bpel=8.15) (eg=5 3/16)

I’ve gone from 5.1” to 6.2” EG. The latter was my all time max. Now, after having completely ignored girth for several months and never having really cemented my gains, I’m still between 5.8 and 6.0.

Conclusion: Most of my girth gains have been permanent, even with very little effort spent cementing.

Well…all of my gains have been permanent. Although, the strange thing is, even when I was clamping I never got those temporary gains from being clamped. That is, my clamped girth has always been the same as my non clamped girth. Maybe I don’t expand easily, but also don’t shrink easily.

So, I suppose the moral of the story might be to get to a girth you’re satisfied with, then ease off it for a while. If some of the progress disappears, then get back to work, make your way to a girth larger than what you consider ideal, then taper off, and allow it to settle at the ideal. Agreed?
