Good Pump vs Swelling

Hey guys, quick question for you to ponder over, or just answer. After my jelq sessions I usually do a very tight wrap around the base to keep a good “pump” going for a while. It’s like a non intense clamp (I use an ACE bandage to accomplish it). It works really well for me (especially in flaccid hang). I’ve been noticing that after about 30-45 minutes the blood pump look is replaced by a more swelling type look. Here’s my question. Should I remove the wrap once I notice the blood pump starting to fade? Or should I just keep it on? It doesn’t hurt, it’s not numb or cold, there’s no real discoloration. It just looks swollen rather than pumped with blood. Any advice is welcome.

Lymph swelling, or anything resembling lymph swelling is not going to contribute to any gains and should be avoided.

Not that this will be much help to RTG but I have tried various base wraps and cock-rings after girth sessions and I have not been able to get on with them at all.

I know some people that use them feel it is a great addition to their PE.

For me it will cause lymph build up fairly quickly.

Yeah, bluenun. Like I said, I can only keep the wrap on for about 30-45 minutes before I should be taking it off.

It won’t hurt to keep the wrap on, but it won’t help either since all you’re doing is pushing the fluid buildup in your dick toward the upper part of your shaft, causing the swelling.

When I wrap, I prefer to do it before pumping or on days when I don’t pump.

If the result is sort of spongy rather than blood-turgid, it’s probably lymphatic fluid. Like the others said, it may not do you any good for gain. I think it is pretty harmless, though, unless it goes into a doughnut below your glans. As you probably know, frequent doughnuts weaken the tissue in that area resulting in more doughnuts in the future.

When I start to see that spongy look that Avocet spoke of… thats my cue to end the session.

Its arrival may vary with the pressure being used but I typically dont see it happening for about 30 min at a mild level of discomfort.

I should have added that I have a theory that when flaccid gain is what you are after (doughnut aside, most probably don’t want that), it doesn’t matter whether you are getting blood turgidity or lymphatic fullness. There may be something to gradually “training” your flaccid cock to stay in a fuller state than it used to.

Interesting theory avocet. I have been more aware of the state of my dick since starting PE. So whenever I take a leek, or in the shower, whenever I can really, I either swing it around a bit or massage it lightly to get some blood in it so it hangs better. Since I have been doing that I have noticed that I have to “play” with it less to keep it larger while flaccid. My flaccid hang has improved tremendously. Granted it may be PE in general, but I don’t think the “training” theory hurts at all. Oh and I drink a great deal more water.

Water always helps, RTG. Stay hydrated and you hang bigger.

Cold always influences hang. Also adrenalin flow. Try to stay relaxed; this is not always easy. When you tense up for whatever reason, adrenlin kicks in - a natural survival response, and you turtle. Never even think about job security when you are fucking. ;-)

Is this why my flaccid hang is always s**t when I’m at the gym, after my workout? My flaccid hang has definitely improved from PE. But at the gym, after I’ve lifted weights and done some cardio work, my cock and balls turtle right up, and it’s not because they are cold. Sitting in the sauna helps some. But it’s not until I’m back at home, some time later, that things unfurl again.
