It’s ok I have often had this debate with Americans and they do indeed seem to have a much shallower toilet to ours in the UK. Here you would need to be 10/11” flaccid to touch the water whereas in the States you could probably be around 5/6” flaccid and you’re dunking your nob in murky waters.
I’m not sure why the toilet (and building) regulations are so different over there but they are.

I friend showed me a genius idea to stop splashing all together. Just take a length of toilet paper and put it in the water. Don’t ball it up though. It will help keep the surface tension so there will be no splashing when sitting down for a number two. It’s never failed me.

Does all the water in the bowl go down when you flush? It sounds awfully wasteful. In Australia (and I thought it was like this everywhere) there’s just some water about a foot below the level where you sit, lol I don’t know many people who’s dicks would drop in that.
