The thing is, 6 x 5 is already a very big penis for our body size in the animal kingdom. It’s already moved in the direction of being larger for the purposes of sexual attraction, because we stand upright, making our sexual organs visible. Our penis is the largest in the primate family, much bigger than a gorilla’s even though gorillas are much bigger than us. A 4 x 3 penis or even smaller could still do its job of impregnating a woman just as well, if not better, because it will go in easily. Anything bigger than that is purely to attract more mates, like the peacock’s huge tail feathers.

But of course, there are some disadvantages living in the wild to a massive, show-er penis that hangs to your knees. Like the peacock’s tail feathers getting so big it can’t fly, a huge penis could cause problems for a hunter-gatherer. It swings all over the place when you run. It might get caught on something. Young and small women might not be able to get it in easily, etc. So, evolution, in its haphazard way, tries to strike a balance between big enough to attract a mate and not so big it gets in the way… and 6 x 5 is really just about right for that.

Also, as much as people here hate being a “grower,” the turtling up is really a rather ingenious little trick. Your junk stays safely stowed out of the way when not in use and grows big enough to please a woman when the time is right.

OK, it amazes me how many people don’t understand how evolution works. Most likely, penis size is a product of sperm competition. The longer and thicker the penis the better the sperm can be deposited closer to the cervix and the better the penis can displace competitive sperm. Our penis head shape allows us to displace sperm. Since having a larger member increases a given males probability to impregnate a female with only his sperm (especially when she is mating with other males) it is desirable in the eyes of females. This is because, assuming that penis size is genetically controlled, If a woman has sex with a man with a big unit and gets impregnated by him, then, chances are, she will have a son who is also well endowed.

The son then has a better chance of passing on his genes (because of his larger penis). Since half of the son’s genes are also the mother’s genes, If the son is successfully passing on his genes he is also passing on some of the mother’s genes. So it is in the best interest of the mother to mate with a large penised male. It is also probably why a large penis has become more stimulating and attractive to a woman.

Also women’s reproductive tracts have and probably are evolving. They can become more difficult for sperm to get through in order to select for only the highest quality sperm.

So, why isn’t your penis 8x6? well there are probably many reasons. Some have been already stated. There are always less desirable genotypes within a breeding population. There are far more important things that will allow a human female to better pass on her genes — the males ability to provide and protect. And since just about any size penis can successfully impregnate a woman there aren’t huge selection forces to cause a rapid and across the board evolution to a larger penis.

It is also true that it is the first time that women are becoming able to provide for themselves and there children. However, evolution is slow and we wont see a noticeable genetically based change in our lifetime probably. However social and cultural changes can occur with that time frame.

There is a flaw in your theory. The preference variable. Some women don’t want a fucking huge cock. Some women want a average size penis. And a person with an average size penis can pleasure a women just as much as a guy with a 8x6 penis.

In truth there are several.

Most find an 8” length on the high end of what they enjoy. And most have to get used to it before it’s really fun.

The whole large head helping to make the larger man’s semen more likely to impregnate is an interesting idea, but I don’t know how realistic it is in reality. Same thing for the greater length factor. The cul de sac is another obstacle to getting sperm in to the cervix. And if a shorter man squirts into the cerivx where a longer man squirts into the cul de sac who’s sperm has better odds? There’s also the whole health of the sperm thing and whether said sperm is compatible with the hosts utero chemistry.

Interestingly thousands of years of cultural and religious opression of women is part of our natural selection process. Just as tastes changing due to media hype regarding size is. Oddly though, we’ve seen someone around here post an article that the average penis is getting smaller, not larger (rabid PE practices aside). I have a Tréo; do your own search.

There are one or two things that influence who is even going to have a shot (so to speak) before the penis is even in the game. Just one or two.

And they demonstrate dick size is more important to us and our egos than of primary significance to women selecting a mate. Hence the average.

Natural selection has come up 6 X 5. If you have that and perform well you should have no complaints. Assuming you can score at all.

Nature doesn’t bother with stuff like that, the only thing that concerns to it it’s the continuity of the specie and you may do it with an inch penis.

The thing about the penis size it’s aesthetic and just that, if a women selects you for the size of your penis then probably there are no brains in that head, and trust me guys, not all women wants an 8x6, some want more, some want less than that.

Do you guys really select your girlfriends for the size of their boobs? I don’t think so

OK, 8x6 might be considered too big for some, but I am referring to the general preference for women toward a larger unit. Yes some women prefer ones on the smaller end. This is probably because they have smaller vaginas. But in general I believe that my assumption is correct.

And I did state that there are far more important qualities that a human women looks for in a mate — ones that are indicators of his ability to provide and protect. I said before, Any size will fertilize a woman, so there isn’t a huge pressure for a big unit.

If you look at primate species and other species as well, generally the more promiscuous the females are, the larger the male’s penises are. This is a result of sperm competition. If the female is mating with many males each male wants his genes to be the ones passed on. Having a larger penis may provide several advantages:

1)more tactiley stimulating. If it feels better for the female she is more likely to copulate again with the male. Of course there is debate on whether penis size has to do with sexual pleasure, but I accept that within limits a larger unit will generally feel better for the female.

2)higher chance of fertilization. New research says that female orgasm can increase the chances of conception. I think its something to do with the cervix rhythmically dipping into the sperm deposit, but don’t quote me on that. Whether or not penis size contributes to orgasm is up to speculation.

3)deep deposit of sperm and displacement of competitor sperm.

There is a reason that women are programed to generally like a large unit. Saying that its just aesthetic isn’t a reason. Why is it aesthetically pleasing? I would argue that there has to be some underlying advantage to a larger unit — an evolutionary cause. Why else are humans’ units not the same size as apes’?

Could it be said that the reason that certain things are sexually satisfying are because they are advantageous to the survival and perpetuation of genes? An extreme example: If some men were more pleased by pulling out before ejaculation their genes would not carry on.

Or if females found a certain thing pleasurable that increased the chances of proliferating their genes. Those that found pleasure in the advantageous activity would perpetuate their genes at a higher rate — thus there genes would eventually have a higher representation in the gene pool.

Just a guess here, but its understandable that in a hunter gather lifestyle having a huge flacid hanging around might be a disadvantage when it came to running around in the woods. Now that the vast majority of people have adopted sedimentary societies, the cost of having a large penis passably has decreased. Now the advantages of a big unit may be more heavily outweighing the disadvantages. Or maybe Ive been reading too much of guns germs and steel.

When talking bout evolution you cant include every single individual you have to make generalizations. And I do think that on average women prefer a larger penis. But within reason of course.

On “evolution, natural selection and survival of the fittest” in 2006. If a world at war, social-economic disparity and just about everything else that’s going on in this world doesn’t indicate that all these things are alive and well in 2006. Well, maybe it’s just my perception of it ? We may think of all those concepts in terms of caveman to caveman definitions of homo sapiens, because that is the way it was taught in an educational setting. The real world is where we live those concepts each day.

When you look at the advancement of mankind, those cavemen were delineated by which ones walked upright, had tools, fire, a wheel or whatever else. Mankind has evolved so fast thru technology from decade to decade, society has found a way to delineate mankind, not in terms of eras, but by decade. For example, my Father’s generation (WW II man for lack of a term like “neanderthal” man) didn’t have computers, my generation, computers came along after my childhood, so I guess I’m an “inbetweener” in that regard, today’s kids, they’re “digital man”. 30 years ago, a computer for mankind was a basic handheld calculator. Today we sit behind 3+ Ghz computers that are just amazing at what they can do. I mean really, we have “flower children”, “baby boomers”, “Generation X” to delineate evolution of mankind. Each has a little of each (shared characteristics) in them.

As busy as each of us is in our daily lives, who really needs a penis or a vagina anymore in this rat race ? I try to use mine as often as possible, but for the most part it’s a urinary device, not a reproductive one. Does it really matter how big or tight either is anymore ? It’s funny, taking a p*ss or a dump was an inconvenience in my younger years. Now adays I actually look forward to it, it’s a quietly peaceful and serene moment from a demanding world. And trust me, there are people that will go into the men’s room and discuss work issues when taking their moment to excrete. For most of us though, it’s something that isn’t judged by another as beautiful or ugly, too big or too small, it is what it is. Then again, I’ve seen the emails on the types of corporate poopers/farters. So then again, someone is classifying & rating even that.
