Guys: what are you clampers’ opinions about whether heat is necessary to get good gains in clamping?

I’ve never used heat when I’ve been clamping and I’ve gained steadily.

Yes guys - I am starting back carefully after those red spots covered my whole unit suddently one night and it took forever to (mostly) heal. I still have splotchy red spots around the rim of my glans, but I am going ahead anyway in a limited way. The injury came during a lot of heat and pressure so I am getting back into things slowly. For example, I am just going to clamp, but without using my hand to squeeze to add additional pressure. When and if I add light back, it will be at a greater distance from my dick. Something in the combination of light and pressure just caused my dick to blow!

I think heat in any PE endeavour is mainly about damage limitation. I don’t think it improves the amount of gains you’ll make with a method, except that it may have a longer term benefit of less adaptation, but even then, only if the training is light enough to avoid adaptation. I’d be surprised if there’s even 1 in a hundred of us that do that.

I think of heat and massage like yoga for the cock as opposed to body building.

I don’t think heat helps for gains in anything except stretching and maybe wet jelqing, but I still heat my dick in a cup of warm-hot water before and after my clamping routine because I really think it helps it heal and reduce the stress. I notice less discoloration too.

I always recommend heat for noobs. I don’t think it makes any difference on gains, but I feel all PE is safer when you heat. I heat when I can, but if it is a matter of heat or don’t clamp, I clamp at every opportunity with or without heat.
