Jelqing upward, pros, cons.

Jelqing upward, pros, cons.

I have made a thread on this once before, but I was wanting to know the pros on cons of straight forward or upward jelq..

I tend to get to erect to do a downward jelq.

I read that doing downward jelqs’ put tension on the ligs, but upward would not?

I’m just curious.\

Anyone made any good length or girth gains from doing upward or straight forward jelqs?

I do upward and am doing well. I belive upper tends to work the tunica more.

Jelqing is not an exercise that works the ligaments, no matter which direction it’s done. With a partial erection, pushing down on the penis while jelqing will put only a mild stretch on the suspensory ligament and probably doesn’t do anything to the fundiform ligament.

You may have a misunderstanding of where things are if you think jelqing, or hanging, up works the ligaments. Here is a diagram that might help.

West,

I think you can put a good strain on the ligs when jelqing down, especially if you end the stroke with a stretch. Certainly I remember jelqing sessions ending with a burning in the ligs.

Ligs or skin burn?

It certainly won’t hurt to jelq in a downward fashion. If you (anyone) believe it works the ligs then go for it. However, I think Starter’s question had to do with jelqing up and lig work: “I read that doing downward jelqs’ put tension on the ligs, but upward would not?” My answer was directed at that.

>Ligs or skin burn?<

:) Yeah I can tell the difference.

I am 100% sure I am stretching my ligaments when I am jelqing downwards, especially when jelqing a little inbetween my legs. I can feel my lig stretch, even see it as I hold my jelq in the end position.

westla, one question though:
From afront when I stretch straight out I can see two similar ligaments, one on each side of my shaft. Forming two symmetric webs, this is the suspensory ligaments, right? And when I stretch down or BTC, I can see one ligament in the centre of my shaft. This is the fundiform ligament, correct?

Just trying to view your diagrams in a 3d perspective. Because I think my ligaments are moved a little downwards, in the plane shown in your diagrams, from PE activety.

Thanks.

I think in most guys the ligaments are deep enough within the fat pad that they cannot be seen nor easily felt. What most of us see or feel in the part of the penis that is external are the bodies of the corpora cavernosum. Without blood in them, these structures feel like a cord. The two are fused side-by-side (their attachment to each other is called the septum) and this is a prominent feature that can easily be felt in the stretched, flaccid penis.

The accompanying illustration shows the two penile ligaments. The fundiform ligament begins in the midline of the lower abdomen and spreads to form a sling, or loop, in which the penis is suspended. The suspensory ligament is deeper and is attached to the center of the pubic bone and down the midline of the penis. Both ligaments are deep. The suspensory is probably easier to feel than the fundiform, but neither is easily seen unless the guy is extremely skinny.

I can’t imagine being able to see the ligaments through the flesh that would be terribly skinny. My fat pad is tops 1/2” and I have to work by feel.

I guess you are right that some people may be feeling the septum but the suspensory ligaments should be fairly easy to feel for most simply by tracing the pubic bone. I’ve done a fair amount of digging around in and under the pubic bone and I can’t say I can locate the fundiform ligament with certainty even if I trace from under the penis.

The fundiform is probably a relatively thin membrane compared to the suspensory. It’s purpose (as well as I’m able to determine) is to keep the penis centered, side-to-side, and it also helps the suspensory support the penis in the upright angle (rather than straight out) which best matches the angle of the vagina.

Jelquing up would help the tunica though?
Surely!?

Loved going to Cuba! :)

I'm surprised that Americans can't go because their government says they can't!

No doubt.

I think I can feel one of those ligaments, if I stretch straight out, then pinch in the corner between my body(fat pad) and penis, I can feel it. I even push on it when I stetch sometimes and can really feel a stretch.

:flame: "If you build it, they will cum."
