I haven’t noticed a negative change in morning wood after going to sleep to kegels. What I do, is try and do very slow repetitions. (5 second hold and 5 to 10 seconds on the release)
I’ve been doing them long enough that I can isolate what I call a forward, middle and back part of my pelvic floor muscles. So, you may want to try to work on isolating the different areas, and go slowly with them. (rather than doing them to exhaustion) Let us all know how it goes.
