Less is more, AND more is more?

Less is more, AND more is more?

Hey Guys…its been a LONG time since I have visited and/or posted here at Thunders. I found Thunders way back in 07, and thus my PE journey began. PE has always been a challenge for me. Maybe I should have said a struggle instead of a challenge. I gained my first half inch rather quickly. It took about 3 months, which seems to be the average. After that I tried everything from different routines, to hanging with the a vac, and the bib. This included several decon breaks from 6 weeks long, up to 8 months long. I went from 6.25 in length to 6.75 inches in length. Girth started at 6. Every now and then my dick would get me excited by giving me another 8th of an inch, but it always went back to 6.75. My struggles included some small injuries along the way, fatigued hands, desensitization of my penis making it hard to orgasm (I’ve always had to work hard to cum anyways), some erection problems (probably from over doing it), and dry skin from stretching. Ive tried the less is more idea to no avail, but I always seem to head into the more is more world.

I finally decided that I was ok with the size of my dick, and that I spent way too much time trying to make it bigger and getting no results. So I took a break for 8 months. When I started to PE again I decided to take a more scientific approach…if you can call it that. I’ve always been a measurer, but this time I decided to take measuring to the extreme. I tried to measure my FSL, EL and my EG before, during, and after every PE workout to see if I could identify any patterns, or learn anything new. I did this for 4 months. During this 4 month period I went from my typical 6.75 to 6 7/8ths EL, touching 7 inches once or twice…but eventually going back to 6 7/8ths. My FSL went from 7 1/8th to 7.5. My FSL actually hit 7.75 a couple of times, then went DOWN to 7 5/8ths…finally settling at 7.5. (I would typically gain anywhere from an 1/8th, to a quarter of an inch from my PRE workout PE measurements, to POST PE measurements.) During this time period I did what I typically do. I started with the newbie routine and when gains slowed, I did more reps and increased the intensity. My gains completely stopped at about the 2 month mark. For a month I kept doing the newbie, but after seeing no results I decided to step it up. I included fulcrum stretching, and increased the time and intensity. The result? My measurement went backwards. I stopped PEing and took another 8 month break.

THE BREAK THROUGH! Well that’s how it feels to me anyway. So 8 months later I started again using the same measuring technique as before. This brings us to today’s current date. During my 8 month period, I moved in with my girlfriend. So I stealth PE. This has been challenging to say the least, however…I think I may discovered the secret to my success because of this. I now have a total of 7 1/2 months of data accumulated. I started out the same way, but it was hard to stay consistent because of my girlfriends work schedule which changes from day to day. There have been times that I have had to take a complete week off. I decided not to stress about it and just see what would happen. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Again I started out at 6.75 in length (where Ive been stuck at for the last 4yrs), with my FSL being a little longer then last time at 7.25. The first month I was pretty consistent, doing the same old newbie routine and getting the same old results. But then my girlfriend started working less, which gave me less time to PE. Since, I have only been able to PE 3 days a week. This is when I identified the pattern. After taking 4 days off, my FSL would be great, then the following two days workout it would be an 1/8th of an inch less. So in a 3 day work out (that’s 2 days on, one off, one on…then 4 days off), my FSL measurements would look like this; day one 7.75, day two 7.5, day three off, day four. 7.5. Then I would take another 4 days off. Every week was the same. After a 4 day break I would always measure more, but then after a workout, the next two days I always measured less. The thing is…this time around I’m gaining! I’m up to almost 8 inches FSL, and VERY close to 7 1/8th EL! For some reason taking that 4 day break seems to be the key. Its like it helps my dick relax. I have since went back and looked at all my data from last year, and the signs were there…I just never was able to identify them.

My workouts now looks like this. Day 1 is the day I do the hardest workout. I do a typical newbie routine, just with more intensity and time (maybe 25 to 33% more depending on how my dick feels). Then on day 2 I do an average workout. Then a off day, and another average workout…followed by another four days off. That’s what seems to be working the best for me right now. My erections have been great, my hands don’t get so fatigued, and I’m not getting as desensitized. However…with this workout I seem to be more susceptible to small injuries like a bruised looking head, or broken blood vessels. Which I find odd, since I’m not doing near the intensity that I have done in the past. Another note: I’m finding that during my workouts, that when I have over done it…my dick starts to freeze up. What I mean by that, is that the measurement will actually go down by about an 8th of an inch during the workout, rather then increase. At this point, that part of the workout is over, and there is nothing I can do to increase, or get that back. So listen to your dick. I know these gains may not seem like a lot to a lot of you, but I have been a VERY hard gainer being stuck at 6.75 inches for the last 4.5yrs or so. And I think Ive tried everything! I have now gained a solid 3/8ths of an inch in 3.5 months. For me…that’s great! And so far, the gains don’t seem to be stalling.

I apologize for being so long winded. If you have been a hard gainer…add this routine to the hundreds already out there. Maybe take a few months off, then just do three days a week. I’m saying “less is more, and more is more” because I am still doing a somewhat agressive routine (at least the first day), but less…because I am taking so much time off in between workouts. I think this may be the key to its success. I hope this helps someone out there in Thunderland. I am super busy and may not be able to respond to a lot of questions, but I will do my best. Good luck and happy gaining!

I have a similar methodology. I usually do one very hard workout on a weekend, then do the basic newbie routine as ‘active recovery’ for the rest of the week, deciding on intensity and time according to how my penis is feeling on the day, and not worrying if I miss the odd day here and there.

Every 6-8 weeks I take a mini decon break of a couple of weeks or so. After a break I take it easy for the first few sessions because injuries happen much more easily after even a few days off.

Thanks for your input. Valuable! And good to see you around again dlm. :D

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

VERY interesting dlm. Your PE story sounds just like mine. Except mine is missing the part where you were actually able to get results after years of nothing. I shall have to try this rigorous measuring approach. Very inspiring to hear someone with same story as mine thus far seems to be eventually achieving happy ending!

Hey Firegoat…its good to see your still around! And thanks for the comment. Using WAY less words, you nailed what it is Im doing. Lol! Only difference is that Im taking 4 consecutive day off every week.

Sentii…it takes a lot of time to measure everyday like that. But if we had access to data like this from hundreds or thousands of guys, who knows what we might learn huh?

I’m trying not to be around much, but this place is kinda home. :D

Thanks for sharing your experience dlm4. I’ve a somewhat similar history of frustration and lack of gains. I won’t tell my full story now, but suffice it to say: I was PEing inconsistently for a couple years, with modest gains. When my gains stalled I chalked up my modest gains as being natural and not PE related. Anyway, about a year-and-a-half to two years ago I started tugging at it again. After a few months (of inconsistency) I gave PE a rest again out of disappointment with lack of results. Next time decided to try PE again, and I measured, I realized that I was 1/2 inch longer than when I stopped months before. That’s when I finally decided to commit to it. I’ve yet to decide on a rhythm like you have though.

So yeah, lots of rest can be good.
