Mixed results at best...Frustrations of a Girth Hardgainer

Well, I’m back fellas. I’ve taken about two and half months off following a three-month clamping cycle that netted me very little if any increase in girth (see old log somewhere below). Perhaps one effect of all my hard work is that I seem to plump up a little faster than before I started the routine back in September. Maybe the deconditioning break will allow me to make a breakthrough past my plateau? Anybody else have any success here? But I have to admit, I’ve been at this for so long with minimal girth gains — despite jelqing, squeezes, clamping, pumping — that I’m a bit skeptical about my ability to gain any real girth. My past routine was four days/week (clamping 30 min, occasional pumping). I’m gonna experiment with a six day/week routine that is less intense (4 days jelqing for 20 min, 2 days clamping for 20 min). Maybe this will make a difference. Check out my new progress log below.

Thanks for stroking my ego, Para. But I’ll consider my unit a “moster-cock” when and if I ever cross the 6” girth threshhold all along the shaft, lol.

I don’t know if this will help you, because you’ve been at this a long while, but I made my best girth gains by doing PE only every other day - leaving 48 hours between sessions. I slow, strong dry jelqs at about 3/4 erect level, and I always hot-wrapped before & after each session. I know that’s a very simple, basic workout, but sometimes less is more. And we often end up out-thinking ourselves, making stuff far more complicated than it needs to be.

Anyway, with respect to your routine, your experiences with clamping mirror mine. Close to no gains with it. I guess this is why DLD refuses to try it as he sees it illogical that one could just clamp off their erect dick and hope to get girth gains. I’m not going for girth, but when I do, I’m going to try those Slow Squash Jelqs because everyone seems to be ranting and raving about thier effectivness on DLD’s board. Also check the tutorials here and see what they offer….Tried the dry jelq yet?

You know, I did try dry jelqs some time ago and they resulted in really good expansion post workout. Maybe I just didn’t stick with it long enough. Thanks for reminding me. Maybe I’ll incorporate them into the routine as well.

Thanks for the thoughts, Wad. I know jelquing resulted in the little length gains I’ve had over the years (mostly ligs), but it hasn’t done much for my girth. So when you were having success with the jelqing for girth, how long was each workout? Thanks again.

Tell me what your nutrition is like on a dialy basis, your current girth routine (including on and off days), and what you do for your penis when you aren’t working out. (When you apply heat even when you aren’t working out)

I’ll critique it, and tell you what you should do from there. You can then take my advice in its entirety, just pieces of it, or not at all. You won’t be insulting me if you don’t. :D

Okay, I’ve been away for a while. I just checked out a video for the O bends (slinky) and it looks very interesting. Anybody else have any progress with this? What about negative side effects on erection stiffness, etc?

My difficulty has been the opposite of yours. Girth has come quite easily for me (thus far!). And I haven’t even really been trying for it. I’ve gone from 5" EG to 5.5" EG in the past few months. On the other hand, length is an absolute bugger for me.

I would contribute most (if not all) of this girth increase to clamping. I also jelq, but I don’t think this has contributed as much. However, my method of clamping is different than yours. First, I no longer use a cable clamp, which it seems from your pictures that you use. I now use a hose clamp. I think this is what it is called. You know, those metal clamps you find in the plumbing section that you have to screw down.

Second, and more importantly (I think), I don’t clamp behind the balls. I clamp in front of the balls, at the base of the shaft, as far down the shaft as I can place the clamp.

Specifically, I’ll achieve a full, or nearly full, erection first. Then I wrap 5 or 6 layers of ace bandage around the base of the shaft. I then place the hose clamp over the ace bandage and tighten. I use a "nut driver" rather than a screw driver to tighten/loosen the clamp with. (A nut driver is like a screw driver, except that it has an end for nuts, not screws; the clamp I use requires a 5/16 nut driver.) The screw driver slips easily and is therefore a bitch to use. As I’m tightening the clamp, I push and hold it as far down the base of the shaft as I can. This produces quite a stretch throughout the shaft; it also allows you to engorge more of the shaft. I tighten the clamp pretty far down. I’ll also tighten it more throughout the set. I limit my sets to 15 minutes, from when I have the clamp on.

I’ve tried clamping behind the balls. But in my experience, this is not nearly as effective as the above method. Also, at most I clamp one set a day average. Some days I’ll clamp two or even three sets. But I don’t clamp every day. So it probably works out to 1 set a day, 4 or 5 days a week average. As I said, girth hasn’t been my focus. I just like clamping.

Lastly, sometimes when I am clamping, I further squeeze the shaft of my penis with my hands and do some VERY GENTLE erect bends. My aim in squeezing the shaft is mainly to force more blood into the glans. But I’ll only do the additional squeezing and erect bends if my penis is not maximally erect. That is, I’ll only do them if there is a bit of flex in the penis. If the penis is very tense and tight, then at most I’ll gently massage the shaft with my hands while clamped.
