My father in law was standing behind me while I was doing a Google search for a recipe and autocomplete put “penis enlargement” in the text box. I quickly erased it but I think he saw it. How embarrassing. Oh well, I’m a decent size so I’ll just whip it out if need be ;)
Under you Internet options you can fix that. I recommend you do. I did. And it’s nice not being paranoid every time somebody is on your computer.

And then turn off: use autocomplete for web adresse

-get your own windows user account with password, keep your files private
-keep history at 0 days
-turn off autocomplete
-rename mpegs, divx, as an .exe file to hide’m easier
-don’t save any passwords
-don’t log any conversations
-use different mail accounts for different uses

Sorry for an unforgivable OT, but you can just use a different kind of browser, with GNU/Linux I’m using nonetheless 5 browsers, one for each separate job I may need :P
Also in ms windows o.s. there are indeed several browsers (Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, Netscape, Maxthon, etc ..) so you can avoid such equivocal situations ;)

I was in the vice president of the company I used to work for office and he was typing a URL into the address bar and one of the autocomplete suggestions that came up was hotpussy.com or something like that. It was hard to keep from laughing. Ah well, we all surf porn. Still funny though.
