I’ve been working on the Newbie routine 4 days a week (on/off) while in the shower for about 6 weeks now and I haven’t seen any progress. I’m rather disappointed but I want to keep going and gain at least 1/2 inch length and 1/2 inch girth. Seems reasonable I suppose. I’m about 5 3/4” BPEL and 4.5” girth. Short of doing the technique wrong, is it just the case that I may not be able to gain? Am I expecting too much too soon?

Hard to say. I’d avoid jelqing in the shower if this means using soap. I’d also raise the frequency at least to a 3on/1 off (at least for stretches). If you are uncut, you could find dry jelqs more effettive than wets.

I suppose you raised the number of stretches and jelqs over the course of these six weeks?

I concentrate more on stretching than jelqing and I do 10-60 second stretches. I spend really just 10 minutes jelqing after the shower. One of those questions is if I am pulling hard enough on the stretching part? How can you tell?

My (very) personal opinion is : jelqing is more important than stretching. I also think is better to jelq before stretching.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll have to re-evaluate how I exercise. I’ve recently started again after years of absence. Back in 2003 I was very diligent and also would hang, but even back then I saw no gains after months. I gave up.

Well, then I would suggest trying something else. Pumping, using an extender, or maybe just a differently designed routine, like this one:

Just enjoy PE for awhile as an intresting new way to pleasure yourself. I say this because of the simple law of a association, taking pleasure in PE will help you hang in long enough to make some real gains, that’s what every member here wants.


I gained an inch from PE without jelqing. Just ferocious stretching in a hot bath.

It took a year, but it was worth it.

Everyone’s experience varies, and my growth has stagnated since I took a break this time last year, but I persist.

For me, PE is for life, even if it takes ten years to get another inch. I’ll be 60 with an 8” dick!

Dude my own experience is if you are not gaining keep with the newbie routine so you can condition your unit to more severe PE exercises than you’ll see gains I hope, the newbie routine doesn’t work for everyone but it is only the start.
